That was great to see the lads playing together. Paul looked and sounded great. Nancy and Barbara looked beautiful and so proud of their hubbies!! It was great to see Yoko and Sean rocking out to Paul's music. What a nice reunion. I'm going to the taping of the "Night That Changed America" tomorrow. I'm getting very excited to see them! Sure hope those boys don't stay up too late partying tonight!! Here's a youtube clip of the performance:
Nancy, Barbara and Olivia all looked beautiful. And, bucking the trends, not a hint of botox or cosmetic (dis) enhancement amongst them.... .
Barbara always looked botoxed up to me. or something. Mind you, I think it's a better job then most I've seen but I'd bet money there's something there....

Nice photos in this Daily Mail article! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2546540/Grammy-Awards-2014-Yoko-Ono-grooves-audience-Paul-McCartney-Ringo-Starr-stage-Grammy-Awards.html
Thanks for sharing. Nancy looked great as always and everybody wants to meet and have picture taken with McCartney.

That was excellent! Not as kick-ass as 2012 Grammy's with Paul rockin' the house down....BUT I was thoroughly impressed with so many things. Paul's voice sounded great, the whole BAND played great, Ringo did a great job learning a song he'll probably never hear again and never heard before, AND....PAUL PLAYED SOMETHING FROM THIS CENTURY. Ringo's solo spot was great too!! It seemed to be very well received and his voice sounded good. He had a great band behind him with a few ex-all-starrs hidden in there! Great night to be a Beatles fan!
The "Golden Slumbers" Grammy's closer will likely be the best Grammy's closer of the decade. That was phenomenal.
I wish Ringo didn't play on Queenie Eye...Abe was clearly doing all the fills. The camera should not have been so focused on Ringo because he keep looking at Abe.

Lame of Paul to not do a Beatles song with Ringo. C'mon Paul!
Ringo did a solo song...it was big of Paul to share his spotlight song with Ringo.

And it sounded superb. How you have two Beatles at the Grammy's and open with Beyonce and what's his name with a dreadful song is beyond me. My 20 year old son just called and told me that Queenie Eye sounded great and was downloading it tonight. And Ringo nailed Photograph.
Agree. And that huge production behind Photograph really reminded me of the huge production on the actual recording. Who was drumming? Henry Spinetti? Wasn't Greg was it???
No,it looked like Kenny Aronoff drumming during Ringo's song.
Yep it was kenny Arnoff!

I so wanted to feel an emotional wallop when/if Ringo joined Paul on stage and sat in on drums. When he did, on "Queenie Eye", I really didn't have the feeling I SO wanted. Maybe if Paul had sung "Day Tripper" or some other Beatles song with Ringo that might have made a difference. Not sure. And I sort of thought Ringo's performance on "Photograph" was not really eventful either. It just seemed odd and out of place and not really special. At all. Then this morning, I read the review of the Grammy Show in the Washington Post. The writer dissed all the "oldie acts/reunions" and, with regards to Paul with Ringo together, stated that.... "the Grammys did the impossible; they made the Beatles annoying." (He, of course, is always a bit churlish and he hated all the reunion pair-ups of new acts with the old, particularly the Robin Thicke/Chicago mash-up, or whatever it was. I didn't much like that one myself.) Still, regardless of what any music critic said, I wanted Paul and Ringo performing together to be an intense emotional experience and, for me, it just wasn't!!

Yes, satisfying night! I did have tears in my eyes a bit after "Queenie Eye." Abe was definitely doing the "heavy lifting," but great to see Ringo drumming behind Paul too. We missed the end of the show since it ran long and we watched it somewhat delayed on DVR. By the time we realized it was going to run long, it was already over! (The Grammys had been good in recent years with staying on schedule.) So we missed Yoko and Olivia presenting Album Of The Year; was that memorable at all? I can't find a clip of it online, though I know who won it. Hey, yankeefan, I noticed there was no Peter Cetera. That was lame. Made it seem like a Chicago cover band, but at least they kept their Cetera imitator down to a minimum. Robin Thicke did not particularly add class to the proceedings. The NY Times article on the Grammys says that Daft Punk were the biggest winners, with four awards. Hello? Paul won four awards (five if you include "Sound City"), plus a portion of a Lifetime Achievement Award! Let me just say: I'm feeling a little more positive about next year's awards. If "Live Kisses" can get two awards in 2014, maybe "New" can win in 2015!
Wonderful to see them both performing together, great camera angle catching them together a couple of times. Yoko and Olivia presenting was not memorable but still nice to see them up there. It was mentioned that Harrison and Lennon/Ono had won Grammy for record of the year which was nice. Actually, I thought both ladies looked nervous but it went fine. Cetera was basically the voice of Chicago so it was sad that they still don't get along. Would have been a lot nicer having him front Chicago instead of Thicke. Actually, there were only four original members of Chicago playing last night. Daft Punk was called the big winners because their four awards were in major categories. McCartney's only "major" award last night was the "Best Rock" song with Grohl.

Paul was gracious enough to have Ringo sit in on drums with Abe for Queenie Eye. Ringo did his own solo song...Photograph. They know they cannot be the Beatles anymore since 2 are no longer with us. BUT...the show tonight (which aires in Feb) will be all about the Beatles. I bet they will do some numbers together there. Feb. 9, 1964, with a special two-hour special, ?The Beatles: The Night That Changed America, a Grammy Salute.?

Part II....Just looked at the video of the performance of "Queenie Eye" at the Grammys, and.....Paul was in very good voice on the song. Sounded great. The entire performance was better and more satisfying....today than it seemed last night. And special. So, maybe a 'nevermind' to my original post is in order???

Thank you! But you were right about the Chicago thing.

Yes, I can accept that rationale; just being picky. I suppose Best Surround Sound Album isn't exactly water-cooler talk for most people!

part of Queenie Eye...love Nancy's reaction!

Just tried to watch the U-tube Queenie Eye Grammy video from the previous pages here. They now have it blocked. I would think it would be better for sales of NEW CD's to keep it available. wonder if Paul has any control over this. Does anyone else have a link of the Performance that we can see. Thanks

I posted a clip of Queenie eye over in the PM pic thread.

The Grammy's are doing a special show in a couple of weeks and there will be plenty of Beatle moments/songs. Would love to know why this critic found The Beatles annoying. The two surving members played one song each so it was not like they were the center of the show. McCartney even let Grohl do the acceptance speech for the "Best Rock Song" award and Grohl had to basically pull McCartney to the mike to say a few words.

From RS below: As many fans hoped, a Paul and Ringo reunion happened on the Grammy stage tonight. After being introduced by Julia Roberts, McCartney sat down on a psychedelic-painted piano with Starr on drums and the pair of onetime Beatles performed ?Queenie Eye? from Macca?s latest album, New. The tempo was upbeat, McCartney commanded the vocals like a legend and in the crowd Yoko Ono danced along.
