Great pic oobu! Got any more? Glad you got to meet up with my friend! Someone in Duluth had the same "butt" sign and he said the same thing! Maybe it was the same person!
Yep, have some more & will post a few later. He makes that up about the butt sign because he says it at every show.

Great picture Oobu! So glad your camera cooperated for you last night.
Thanks Paulfan. Yeah, my camera was acting up. I had it in a bag of rice all day. haha...the tech guy said the dial may have moisture behind it.

Yes! A bunch of us had "sign my butt" signs in Omaha (I am not sure who made them but I was given one ). We all held them up when he started talking about the signs and he saw them right away (they were scattered), and it made him chuckle. I agree that his voice was very good last night. And oobu to your photo!

So get this...I have a friend who went last night with lawn seats. She's in a Beatles Ensemble at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and two nights ago, she found out that Paul is giving all of them VIP passes to the show, including the soundcheck! So she's going back today with a soundcheck package (she doesn't know where her seat will be, but it'll be a lot better than lawn!) for free! 1. Paul is awesome! 2. I'm so jealous!

There does not seem to be a thread dedicated to tonight's show so I guess we can just continue to post here. So who is going?

Very cool! He seems to do this often. In Des Moines, he invited a Drake University fine arts class in for soundcheck. They had to stand behind us And in Lincoln in 2014, there was (I think) a class of high school kids that got to come into soundcheck. I don't know if either of these groups got tickets of any kind but getting into soundcheck unexpectedly would be pretty cool on its own!

Yeah, that's so awesome! I'll report back as to what she ended up with. But she was under the impression that it was the soundcheck, dinner, and seats, but she didn't know where the seats would be.

That's so cool about your friend getting the VIP passes! So I still have 3rd row from stage on inner aisle section 104 seats 1 & 2 for tonight. They are definately third row and awesome seats I can verify by being there last night! Asking face value. See him again tonight up close!!! (I posted these on the ticket thread also. )

Hope it's a great seat. I didn't know anything about the university class until I arrived for soundcheck and they divided us into 2 lines for security . . .students and VIP. I don't believe the students ever entered the hospitality room with us. In any case, your friend's evening will be really, really cool (thanks to Paul!)

Ready for round 2! Tonight I have 5th row center...my closest seats out of all nine Macca concerts I've been to. So I'm pretty excited! Yesterday I took my wife who had never seen him before. She was in awe and is still on Cloud 9 today! I also took my mom, who has seen him many times, but never as close as yesterday and she is also still on her concert high today. She loves "Queenie Eye" and wasn't expecting it. That was a nice surprise for her to hear it. Tonight I take my best friend who is also my bandmate. We have played many Macca songs together in our group over the years, and he's been playing Beatle tunes on guitar since he was a boy, and this will be his first time seeing him. He is so excited and doesn't know what to expect. He asked if we'd here "Ballroom Dancing" tonight. I wish I could've said yes...lol. I honestly don't know if/when I'll see Paul again. You never know these things, but it's a little bittersweet for me, because unless he makes another return to the Chicagoland area in a future tour, this could be the last time I see him in concert.

"As for getting out of the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre parking lot after the show, it lived up to its hellish reputation." Nothing will beat the chaos of Candlestick Park in 2014, but this is a close 2nd. I ran from my seat out the gate after "Carry That Weight". Caught the "See ya next time" fireworks from the parking lot, saw Paul on the bus, and high-tailed it out of there before the traffic jam. Gotta repeat tonight!

The trick for this venue is to come at it and leave from the south and east. Take I-80 to I-57 and come at it from Vollmer Rd. 10 minutes out of your way saves 45 minutes easy!!!

Love the photo you took of Paul, Oobu!! Great job!! Can't wait to see more pics The silverboards on Paul look gorgeous Have fun again at the concert tonight!

Tend to agree with you. I think sometimes (but not always of course) Paul may just pick out someone from the audience to point to, if they're holding a sign, just to be able to say the "Sign My Butt" line to, because it is a great line Then there are other times when people actually have those signs, too.

They were giving away tickets on WGN TV for soundcheck & lawn seats. I had never heard of that before. So that is possibly what your friend got. There were some empty spots in row 2 & suddenly 4 young blondes & their mom appeared. Turns out they got upgraded from lawn seats. They were dancers...lol. I got a few hands waving iabout n some of my pics & videos. lol

____________________________________________________ I have a soft spot in my heart for "Ballroom Dancing". My Daughter was a little over 1 when I was playing Tug of War (still buying albums at that time) at my house. I loved Tug and so I have to admit I played it a lot. One day when Ballroom Dancing was playing I looked over at my daughter and she was shaking her body in full dancing mode. Maybe she had seen me moving to "Ballroom Dancing" previously but it was no doubt the first song she ever danced to. It certainly was her favorite song at the time.
