I learned my mistake from KOTB - to do my research on all the US outlets - I've typically done Best Buy but then Target sometimes gets the exclusive. I hope to God one retailer has all the bonus tracks together and it doesn't become a two bonus track per retailer; thus having the need to purchase two of the same album to collect the bonus tracks.
Yes, I know, I bought the "deluxe" KOTB, which had no bonus tracks! When I found out about the Target CD, I just downloaded the two tracks from iTunes instead of buying the album again. Best Buy seems to be fading fast with the exclusives, and Target is taking up the slack. Target's version of Elton John's new album has more music than the super deluxe boxed version of it!
The UK Deluxe edition of KOTB had two bonus songs, Baby's Request and My One And Only Love. Very strange the US version was different.
Actually, Target was the store in the US that landed the version with the two bonus tracks as I went out and purchased KOTB there on the release date. This is very confusing for all of us and has made the simple act of buying an album more complex than it should be.

I hope Target or Best Buy come to the rescue and add a DVD and all the bonus tracks. This is pissing me off that the record companies are pulling that s h i t to the real fans; i'd rather spend a few more dollars on the full deluxe version and buy two deluxe versions to get all the tracks.
I guess I was a deprived teenager when I went out and bought only one version of Abbey Road in 1969. Aren't all these versions just great? (yeah, right). If this keeps up we will need a flow chart to show what tracks are on which versionz in which country/store.

Kisses OTB is #12 in Amazon and going up... !! I understand it's a great record but wasn't supposed to be NEW the one topping and going upp?
Last night PBS showed the film Live Kisses, hence the massive sales jump (10,000%) for KOTB. A similar thing happened in the UK a week ago, when ITV (I think it was that channel) showed Live Kisses and the next day KOTB was up to No. 20 or something on the Amazon UK top 100. It's such a lovely under-rated Paul album. Funny to see The Beatles BBC pre-order, the New pre-order and KOTB all in the top 20 on Amazon in the US right now.

And this is yet another example of the general pattern: Paul's music sells when people know about it. And a national TV appearance almost always does the trick. Older folks may remember that "Flaming Pie" had dropped off the Billboard 200 when Paul appeared on "Oprah" and did two songs from it. Bang! The album was back on the chart again. It didn't stay long that 2nd time because Paul wasn't touring and what radio play it got had faded, but when people here is stuff a fair number of them buy it. Hopefully Paul, the MPL crew and Hear Music have a strategy for keeping up attention. If "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" does well, that will help.

Mod Post Hi Guys, We're spotting posts mentioning enthusiasm to hear or obtain "leaks" or pre-release copies of the upcoming album "New". Please note we cannot allow any posts that mention material unofficially available prior to the formal release date. This might be links to downloads or pointers to sites hosting unreleased material in any form whatever. We may be required to remove posts even suggesting that such has occurred. This includes posts containing personal reviews of material heard through such sources. Whilst we do not doubt the integrity of fans here and are sure they will reward Paul correctly for his efforts by purchasing copies - even multiple copies - of the new album, this site will become the look-see place for profiteers that have no such intention. So even goodwill posts for the benefit of other true fans may damage Paul's efforts commercially and, in consequence, affect sales and chart success. So please, if you learn of any early unauthorised release please don't share that info here. You will have ample opportunity to discuss and celebrate the new release at the appropriate time. Thank you Martin

I definitely have every intention of supporting Paul and buying his new music when it becomes officially available (and not before). I believe we are all hoping that there's some official communication about the availability of all of the bonus tracks so we know how/where to get them all. This would make us very happy!

Went to the Best Buy website this morning it appears there is a Best Buy Exclusive. If that's a certain set of bonus songs or all of them that remains to be seen.

I second that! A frontpage on the website a week or so before the 14th and 15th of October, featuring a "New" buyers guide, would be great for all of us fans.

I definitely have no intention of supporting Paul and buying his new music when it becomes officially available etc.......and instead I will wait until December when he gives the new album away for free with copies of the Mail On Sunday .....I won't be getting caught out a second time! .

...which illustrates why/how some bemoan a lot of Englishmen's attitudes towards Macca Makes you think they must be right about that. (That loads of his fellow countrymen don't appreciate him and jump on him for every little thing, or make a big thing out of little things, or think it's a big thing, I better shirrup before me foot goes in me gob, to use some "Lennon speak")...

Ouch...I thought it was a nice joke!
-
Maybe it was a joke--Brit comic Ricky Gervais was on a classy Sunday CBS news show this morning and said Englishmen are always or often sarcastic, almost as a knee jerk reaction, he implied. When two Brits meet up they never offer a cheerful compliment but immediately say something sarcastic about the other's hair, shoes, clothes, facial expression, engage in verbal one-upmanship right away, etc. They'd never come up with praise, Gervais said.

It could have been, but sometimes it can be hard to tell when it is a joke and when it is not on this board since Paul does get a lot of slack for silly things.
