Paul's New Album-- "New"-- CONFIRMED

mike carrera:
Just read that the 'Exclusive' Japanese track called there 'Struggled" is no other than 'Scared' (The Hidden track on ALL the versions), Can anyone confirm this?
The real Japanese version does have "Struggle" in addition to "Scared."

YEP, just found out checking at the times of the last song on each edition, thanks. Don't know why some people try to cheat on the internet.

Thanks for these, Bruce! They shall be eagerly perused

Take the introspection of Chaos, the experimentation of EA, add McCartney's ear for melody and a great 3 minute song and that's basically what NEW, the album is...

Thanks for updating... >Best Buy exclusive CD with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus badge and photo cards* Best buy is now saying.... including post cards & "new album laminate" instead of "badge". The price is $15.99 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/new-best-buy-exclusive-10-15-cd/2158004.p?id=2758377&skuId=2158004&st=paul%20mccartney%20new&lp=2&cp=1 I probably get a best buy(or target) exclusive cd and download two bonus tracks from iTunes.

Another update! Your guide to buying the "NEW" album. Standard CD with 12 tracks, plus 13th hidden track: Scared (with bonus lighted cube at some independent stores - and maybe FYE?) Standard vinyl LP - track listing not clear, release pushed back to November Deluxe CD (and iTunes deluxe download) with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus two bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here (with bonus lighted cube at some independent stores - and maybe FYE?) Target exclusive CD with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus DVD (30 minutes, Canadian tour "Rendez-vous" interview), no bonus tracks Best Buy exclusive CD with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus badge and photo cards* Japanese CD with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus three bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here, Struggle [looks like CD Japan is cheaper than Amazon.jp] There is no Walmart exclusive CD. They have the standard CD and the deluxe CD, apparently at the cheapest prices of physical stores. *Note that Best Buy is also selling the standard CD and the deluxe CD, and that their own exclusive CD has no bonus tracks as far as we can tell. For those interested in the color of the front cover artwork, it's definitely the orange/pink combo on the standard CD and LP, and it's definitely the blue/purple combo on the Target and Best Buy exclusive CDs (and apparently on the Japanese one). For the regular deluxe CD, it's unclear to me which colors are on it?online sources disagree.

Thanks, good to know! And your strategy sounds like a good one. You're making me reconsider... unless they don't let you download the bonus tracks individually on iTunes, but I hope they do.

Thanks for posting. I particularly love the Chicago Sun-Times review. It's nice to see actual thought went into the process and have the critics confine their comments...for the most part...to the new album rather than reviewing Paul and resorting to cliches. They actually listened to the songs!!!!

Could not have said it better. YES!

If you wanted to, how would you go about buying it from Japan?!

Same way you buy it on any online site, really, but the shipping can be expensive, and the currency exchange rate may not always be kind. To me, it's not worth the price. I'll wait it out, hoping that "Struggle" pops up somewhere else!

Look on ebay, sellers in Japan have been pre-selling it on there for a few weeks now.

I ordered my copy from eBay...there are a few Japanese sources but at least one was in the USA, which is the seller that I ordered from.

Ordered Best Buy exclusive. Had a $5 promo credit because it's my birthday month. Can't get the link to independent record store to add to cart and I want the cube. Called FYE records. Closest one is 2 hours from me. Won't reserve over phone. Guess I shall go for a drive. Sadly guy said they will be getting 10 cubes and none of their customers buy McCartney. He said he and two other employees will buy it and get the cube and doesn't think I need to worry. Will only let me reserve in store.

Can't help it: that cube seems like shades of Magic Alex!

Mine won't add to the cart either.
