Echo Arena, Liverpool - 28 May 2015 - ARCHIVE

one stop focusing soley on hotels. plenty of decent non internationals hotels plus bed and breakfat establishments in Liverpool. the bugger is always late on stae and therefore late leavi8ng the stage. froim 1979 till 2011 I alaways ended up getting a joemax - taxi like a London cab too Crosby, Norris green and litherland. taxis in Liverpool are like 60-70% of Winchester and 50% of London. so do not pay like £30 to be near the echo when a late night taxi will cost you a tenner.

daft thought in my head since the interent had nowt but troubles with London tickets- first time at o2 due to paying over the odds, Christ I give away progs and stuff. two matesa want cheap seats at o2 so will be trying for them, but for Liverpool 5 gigs from down south, not only macca always scored. so hang in there. my last time and I am still trying to get me head around it - money-. before the net I got tickets in lomdon no trouble plus I do think it is possible a second night bee announced.

Carlos, have you been to Liverpool before? If not you will have a wonderful time! Take the Beatles taxi tour too!
Thanks! I have been there, but this will definitely be the best trip ever!
I'm sure it will be! Congrats on getting tickets.

Decided to bite the bullet and go for the Hot Sound Package...only to find that one sold out as well! Since VIP packages were on pre-sale as well, might there be more released when the general sale starts? Hopefully or maybe it's a sign I may have some luck getting a regular ticket down the line... *crosses fingers*

people think Birkenhead, Crosby sefton etc.

I will also be going to Liverpool but not without much drama this morning! After getting numerous error messages saying card not processed, try again. I continued to try until a friend advised me to try paypal.
Congrats, Bob! I had similar issues with my credit card, but I thought it was related to the billing address/shipping addresses I tried to use (which are different). So as soon as it failed, I switched immediately to PayPal, which worked. And I got a fraud alert notice from my credit card company asking about a "declined transaction," so am pretty confident that I did only purchase one set of tickets (for this show, anyway ;). ) Agree, it's annoying that Event Travel don't let you select your seats, so just hoping for a good spot in the allotment. I have seen Paul in the UK many times but never in Liverpool, and I have been to Liverpool several times but have never seen Paul. Planets and timing are lined up for me this time round.

I finally got a response to the email I sent to Event Travel about not being able to choose my specific seat for Hot Sound: "Thank you for your email. Yes this is normal, when you book through Event Travel you do not get a choice of seat. Because we are a package company, tickets are not allocated until approximately two weeks before the show. Tickets are then allocated in our office on a first come, first served basis so the first person to book with us gets the best of our allocation and so on. Your ticket is guaranteed to be in the area of seating which should be listed on your confirmation invoice but unfortunately we cannot specify individual seat locations at this point." So, I have some hope of a good seat, since I got into the ticket buying process right at the stroke of 2am---er uh--10am UK time! Austin 5/22/13 Sound check! Austin 5/23/13 Bonnaroo 6/14/13 & free Sound check Outside Lands 8/9/13 Jimmy Kimmel Hollywood Blvd. 9/23/13 Grammy Special Paul and Ringo 1/27/14 Ringo 7/11/14 San Diego Salt Lake City 8/7/14 Sound check! LA Dodger Stadium 8/10/14 Phoenix 8/12/14 San Diego 9/28/14 Sound check!

I would not be surprised to Dee a Glasgow gig added within a few days along with Manchester?
Can't play Manchester - i've checked and Take That are playing the arena all of the week Paul is playing, which is probably the reason Paul picked Birmingham.

Good Luck! I don't think our seats could be as good as last time! (Manchester)
hiya! no, that was such a great time and view wasn't it Are you coming over? We didn't go for any packages, mainly because by the time we'd seen how bad or unavailable the normal seats were and looked at vip - they'd sold out! (that and being skint!)
Yes,... It was a great time and definitely a great view, it doesn't get much better unless you get center section like some people (Phil if you're out there, you never sent me the video I took of you getting signed in Manchester and Paul signing at the end of the concert) I'm planning on coming over for the Liverpool concert, I don't want to miss that show!

Here's hoping! Would love to go to Liverpool, but I'm working Thursday / Friday, and it's a 4 hours drive both ways....

Had 1 hr sleep last night trying to get tickets. Called my credit card co and advised I'd be purchasing ticket in UK... hopefully it will work better tomorrow!!

Maccaboard down, Liverpool Echo Arena website completely irresponsive... By the time the actual link provided started to work: "huge pre-sale this morning, last few tickets remaining. Tickets go on general sale tomorrow at 10am. We?ll keep you posted." I was in luck, being near to a lady much smarter than me, who found out the direct link just after the sale started: was able to bag floor, row 20-ish, middle. Furthest away I've ever been, but gotta settle for Liverpool. Happy.

try this link for Liverpool https//www.ticketing.accliverpool.com/echo/online/seatSelect.asp

I did think the echo arena site would be a nightmare, you can still buy tickets from there but they're in the gods just glad i didnt have to go through that this morning, far worse than 2011 thats for sure.

Got my tickets this morning after a stressful half an hour on the echo website which was crashing from the minute the clock turned 10. Managed to get 4 tickets on the lower tier so I am veeeeerry happy! I stayed in Holiday Inn Express when I saw him in Liverpool on Christmas 2011. That is the hotel above the Beatles museum/experience attraction. Literally a 3 minute walk to the arena, our rooms looked directly out to the arena, the big wheel and overlooking the entrance to the Beatles museum so it was really nice. The hotel is lovely in general too!

I'm so happy I got tickets. Last time he performed in the Echo Arena I couldn't get tickets. I got them via the telephone lines......a very long wait but blooming worth it. I'm so sorry to those who weren't lucky. I hope touts don't benefit from this. I'm going to see him in London, Birmingham (where I first saw him perform live) and Liverpool. I'm so excited.

Glad you got it sorted,im not a fan of floor tickets to be honest i prefer normally the blocks to the side of the stage but each to their own
-
Manged to get a ticket at 11.01 Row BB upper tier section 17. Paid top price but hey its Macca! So Birmingham and Liverpool sorted...Yey! So Happy!
-
No luck again! Just read about the scalper tickets. I also feel those tickets should be voided and resold. You just know that they are giving money back to the venue, in order to get all of those tickets available literally minutes after ticketing opens. It makes me so angry, I couldn't get a Stevie Wonder ticket for the same reason! PLEASE Do Not Buy these tickets! If the venues have blocks of empty seats they will get the message! It's robbery of the working people... Just SOOOO WRONG!

Had the hassle of failing to get a pre-sale ticket yesterday and failing to get one through the Echo Arena site, I have plumped to pay over the odds through Stubhub, funny how they can end up on there so quick ? But at the end of the day glad I am going D

Been a while since I was last on here.Just got a ticket for Liverpool in this mornings Echo Arena pre sale cock up.Took me 40 mins but well worth the stress.
