NYC, NY - Madison Square Garden - 9/15 and 9/17 - CONFIRMED

No 'Temporary Secretary' sad enough. 'Got To Get You Into My Life'. He's shaking things up, but wants to put in as little effort as possible, by doing setlist staples and songs we finally got rid of.

yes, thanks!

Not sure if this leads to same link that was already posted, but this is on periscope now https://www.pscp.tv/w/1ynJOVpjBXkGR?q=mccartney

Got to Get You Into My Life better serves as an opener in my opinion

First time since Desert Trip weekend 2, October 2016. First time on tour since October 2015. Next up will be 'Get Back' in the encore, etc. As long as they don't have to rehearse. 'Let Me Roll It'. Goodbye!

I'm sorry, but complaining about Got To Get You Into My Life being in a set list for the first time in a while is a pretty desperate grasp to be critical.

I think it's a great song live. Would much rather have it than Can't Buy Me Love in third slot

I'm really surprise he didn't do "Temporary Secretary" at least one night at MSG...don't get me wrong, I'm overjoyed, but surprised too. I think he may still do a new recently-played/old-ish song in the first acoustic band slot and not just rotate back and forth. Plus, the encore will probably have more variation than "Get Back" depending on who's in the building tonight.

Well, thanks! How do yo DO that? You're all the way over there and always know more than me, who is practically next door to the shows! Love it!
No problem. Giving away the secret recipe here, but always check the Periscope app on location. With an event like this there's always someone broadcasting partially, and you're able to also get the streams with someone just having "Paul" or "good night out rock and roll even though there are chairs" as title. This stream got any relevant hashtag, but... just #Paul and #McCartney2nd Live, so you wouldn't be able to find it otherwise.

You're a genius!

It has been beaten to death since 2004, he played it 150 times since. He brought it back for Europe in 2015 while he finally dropped it and shook things up and played it by default the previous tours there. That is desperate, when you've got so much to chose from, but it needs rehearsing. The only little changes he done this leg are songs from the previous tour he finally switched. This is as exciting as getting 'Paperback Writer' back for one gig next, but I'm careful what I wish for...

I don't know why but I don't like "Letting Go" song all that much, sounds kind of draggy to me, too slow or something, in parts. "Got To Get You Into My Life" is a sweet upper of a song. Exuberant. Some one said he sang "I Saw Her Standing There" with Bruce Springsteen, twice (?) !!

I haven't had a chance to post regarding Friday's show, but feel compelled to comment. I've seen Paul around a dozen times now, so obviously have a pretty good sense of the flow for one of these shows. I had two newbies with me, so it was kind of interesting to see it through their eyes. In that regard, I'd argue that purely speaking, it was the best set list that I've experienced. I would have preferred Temporary Secretary, and Letting Go was a joy last summer, and I prefer Save Us to New and Queenie Eye, but this set was a lot of fun and had great momentum. Loved the little busker set in front of the home, and A Day in the Life -- which struck me as forced in 2008 and 2009 -- actually was a real jolt. Of course, the Bruce appearance was pure adrenaline in what already had been a strong last hour of the show. Doing I Saw Her Standing There twice was puzzling at first, but the second version was even more joyous and thrilling than the first, so there... A few people have suggested that Paul's voice was strong. That's one of the few areas where I would argue. He had trouble on Cant Buy Me Love, and the first 90 seconds of Maybe I'm Amazed were really..well...bad. Even when speaking, he seemed a little raspy. But that is a quibble (and lets be honest, thank God for Abe...) Anyway, long story short, not the best concert I've seen but in some ways the most fun. Which is remarkable 12+ times in with a 75 year old performer. By the way, has he ever played a longer show? This was pretty close to a full three hours.

Yeah! We're still waiting on reports on that, but I believe this is what happened, can't wait to read about in the next Beatles Fan Magazine.

...tonight? As the third (and fourth?) song in the set?

Well, this guy isn't very happy about Paul starting late: @PaulMcCartney be polite. You said 8,00 pm. Respect the audience. 1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes @PaulMcCartney I want my money back "sir" Paul. 0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes @PaulMcCartney You may be a star. But if you dont respect people you're not worthy. What a shame @PaulMcCartney i didnt come here to listen recorded music. You are too old to play on time (Bet he forgets all about it after the show starts!)
That is just so funny, really has anyone every been to a rock/pop concert that started exactly on time.

That disappointed me. Why did he not do "Twist and Shout" with Bruce like he did in London instead of the same song twice?

Sorry, this was some Dutch sarcasm which I guess fell flat. I thought the answer to the initial post was one Google query away and pretty well covered in the press within an hour after the happening . Tonight so far has been the same ol' with the token 2005-2012 "shake up": A Hard Day's Night Save Us Can't Buy Me Love Letting Go Let Me Roll It I've Got a Feeling My Valentine
