Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors

Wondering about May since he's usually *somewhere, whether US, UK, South America...
Judging by previous years: if it's EU/UK, the announcement should come in March. If it's the US or somewhere in SA, it should come in April. Whatever the month, it seems they are waiting until all Japanese ticket sales are over in late February before announcing the next batch.

Things are dead silent but it is still rather early for summer rumors. Only US rumor I've heard is Raleigh but have no idea whether it has any merit. Totally unknown source and over a month ago, I tend to doubt it. I here a possible addition on 4/25 and maybe 1 more added in that area
O I'd be there w/ bells on...will absolutely not miss it again, anywhere even somewhat near this general region

I wouldn't get too excited, did not come from a known or credible source and in my experience was way earlier then when these things generally come out

Not to get political on here but I'd also tend to doubt NC shows until that bathroom law is repealed...

Where would he even play in the US this year?
There must be a few cities he hasn't been to for a few years by now?

Best guess for 2017... States he hasn't played before? Music Festivals he hasn't played yet? East coast leg: New Jersey Hartford Providence Syracuse Quebec City (new arena) Montr?al (375th anniversary) Central / South leg: Birmingham Miami Tampa Bay San Antonio Oklahoma City West coast: Denver Las Vegas Albuquerque Tucson San Jos? Oakland Los Angeles Anaheim

I could see any of those cities happening. I would add Houston as well (not seen since On The Run), and maybe even a couple Mexico City shows. He hasn't done ACL Fest yet, may be a few others.

He hasn't played Atlanta since 2014!

After hitting Philadelphia two years back to back in '15 & '16, I've realized that there really is no rhyme or reason as far as frequency and certainly none as far as the size of the city after playing places like Hershey and Charlottesville. The only thing that we can almost assume, is that he will play shows in the US between May and August. That seems like a very safe assumption. As for my own personal interest, I think it's safe to say he won't be making his first visit to Baltimore this year because our stadium is getting a facelift this summer.

Glad to see the hysteria seems to be over with and we are Back On Topic. Bob you say it's too early for summer rumors, around what month would you anticipate hearing any rumors if in fact he does play this summer? Did you hear any possible dates with the unsubstantiated Raleigh rumor?

As far as Raleigh, it was something that popped up in November and has been dead quiet since. Usually if it has legs you continue to hear murmurs , having said that, you never know with the Macca team. They seem to be cutting things closer and closer. I would think, late March would be earliest and more likely early April . Most folks who get an earlier word than that keep very quiet. Of course a lot depends on when the actually start date of any US shows would start as that has the largest effect of when we start hearing things

We have a new Democrat governor in N.C., now, Roy Cooper--a good guy who is fighting tooth and nail to get rid of that terrible, disgusting law.

I could see maybe one show in NYC, MSG perhaps? One night? Hartford looooong overdue. Been 15 years. If Springsteen can fill it up every other year, so can Paul. Quebec has their brand new arena. I know Paul loves the new venues. Likely: Montreal, Quebec City, Hartford, Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, Austin, Las Vegas, Denver Possibly: New York City, Orlando, Biloxi (he loves those rando rinky-dink cities), San Antonio, Oklahoma City, San Jose Probably Not: Los Angeles, New Jersey

I'd LOVE an Austin show.

Royal Farms Arena?
Royal Farms Arena (the original Baltimore Arena) is a shithole. It's also quiet small for an arena these days, plus the inside of the arena itself really has not changed much at all since The Beatles played here in 1964. You all would hear my jaw hit the floor 'round the world if Paul came here. The biggest name we've had in the past ten years would probably be Elton John in 2011, so I guess it isn't really impossible but I seriously doubt it.

If Paul plays Houston, he better not play Minute Maid Park again. That is the worst venue for a concert. Sound sucks, and lots of obstructions. Toyota Center isn't much better, but it's still an ok arena. He could play at the Astrodome, but Toyota Center is probably his best bet. In Austin, we've got a new amphitheater that's only 1500 seats smaller than our arena that many acts have been drawn to lately. I know Paul doesn't do amphitheaters that often, so I still think he'd play the arena. just my thoughts

Thanks, I am blessed to have such a talented network of friends. Slightly off topic, late next week I should get my first listen of the new Flowers in the Dirt box! Would love it if Paul would stick something from here back in
