https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/paul-set-to-return-to-the-budokan "Almost two years to the day since Paul McCartney rocked The Budokan for the second history making time in his career, music's most revered icon has announced he'll be returning to one of Japan's most sacred venues with his all new 'One On One' tour for a special concert on Tuesday 25th April. The announcement follows Paul selling out three nights at the massive Tokyo Dome. This show is set to be the biggest music event in Japan in 2017."

Maybe he'll shake up the setlist again for Budokan.

There it is!
And that is all? ..Or maybe Macca will visit his native continent in June-July?

While I love your excitement, you really need to relax a bit

Interview with Brian Ray "So what are your plans for the rest of the year? Well, I have been working very hard at writing and recording and producing, co-producing, some new singles, as I talked about for me and also for the Bayonets. So you're going to get a new single every couple of months from me and also from the Bayonets and you're also going to probably see some announcements from Paul McCartney in the not-too-distant future although I cannot guarantee that. I'm going to Japan first, though, in about five weeks from now, with Paul." https://glidemagazine.com/181415/brian-ray-lead-guitarist-paul-mccartneys-band-story-tell-interview/

I wish there would be a good rumor or an announcement about 2017, but apart from Japan, there isn't. It's very hard to make plans.....

Have not seen this board being as quiet on the rumor front at this point in the year than in years' past; hopefully some chatter starts soon.
-
The promoters are really keeping the secret this time. Or maybe he won't be on stage in May. I'm so confused this year
-
I think the time has passed for any US concerts in May. But maybe some more Asian dates? I genuinely hope that MPL is trying to line everything up and make ONE tour announcement to coincide with an album release in June. Maybe they are finally getting sentimental and tying in some anniversaries too? Sgt. Pepper turns 50 on June 1st...and the big man himself turns 75 on June 18th...
-
MPL's focus right now seems to be on the FITD remaster, which will be released this Friday. Perhaps after it gets some more press coverage and a little time has passed we will see more tour announcements? If so, I would guess announcements in early April for concerts in May, either in the US or somewhere else. Last year there were announcements in March for concerts in April in the US, plus an announcement in April for concerts in May in Argentina, so a 4-week (or 6-week) advance notice this year would not be surprising.

It looks like Macca is off the road at the end of May due to Wix's commitments. Read paragraph 3... A Rock against Cancer All Star Band RAC-all-starsAfter a recent change to his touring dates we are super excited to announce that Paul "Wix" Wickens will be assembling a very special band to headline Rock against Cancer this year. Who's he? OK, so the name may not be familiar, but "Wix" has been Paul McCartney's keyboard player and musical director for many years. He joined Paul McCartney's band in 1989 and he's appeared on most studio albums since then and on all of the live Paul McCartney albums. He has performed and recorded with many artists as well: Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Bon Jovi, Bob Dylan, Nik Kershaw, Edie Brickell, Tim Finn, John Kilzer, David Gilmour, and Bill Payne... too many artists to list. Paul McCartney has kindly shifted some gigs to allow Wix to gather a band for us in May. We'll announce who's joining him as soon as we can...

"Paul McCartney has kindly shifted some gigs to allow Wix to gather a band for us in May" Suggesting that there were originally going to be gigs in May? shifted to when? So many questions, so few answers

Looks like only a One show deal on May 20th
