Before you get all antsy and typing in bold letters.....Same wording used in the prior Chicago 2nd show official announcement.....I would offer to pay attention to a key word in both announcements (AREA) It may wind up being the final U.S. shows, there are reasons that I know and can't share that could make things go either way

Believe he still does Nancy! Matter of fact, it looks to be August in the Hamptons so I would expect he'd be staying in Manhattan in September

Thanks, Bob. Agree that 8 NYC-area dates is pretty surprising. So what about those two extra Florida-area shows for Miami and Tampa that had popped up on the ticketing sites briefly, way back on the first announcement day only to be removed? Do you think those would still be added at this point?
Let's see how I can put this.......If those shows were on the schedule and then taken off. It could have 2 outcomes (1) They may still appear if they were planned or (2) They may not have hit the required sales levels quick enough to activate the additional show. Look at Chicago, Newark, MSG, Brooklyn and Nassau Coliseum....they all tweeted out almost immediately the same day and later were confirmed. Just my thoughts, but it is a little perplexing that the shows the went on sale after the Florida shows have not only. confirmed, but are going on sale this week has me having serious doubts about additional Florida shows at this point. Hope that helps...remember, this is a monitored forum so I do my best. There are additional reasons leading to doubt but can't list here
Totally understand that, and thanks. And I agree with your thought #2 about sales possibly being a factor for those Florida cities.

"Final" as in FOREVER or "final" as in this tour/year??

You people panic too easily. Obviously it's not last shows ever, there are shows already announce past Sept

I think it's pretty clear: "Final Dates added to One on One US Tour" They say this every time a tour is wrapping up...which makes me think that the album is later in the timeline than we had hoped. Perhaps this is all being wrapped up to make way for something finally NEW in the following year.

I actually took it to mean there would be no more (3rd) shows in those cities. Final area shows. Why bother speculating? Que sera, sera!

I didn't see area? Either way, they'll always find a way to double-back on the commercial lingo if there is more money to be made. The concept of a "new tour" is merely a fa?ade anyway.

It clearly says second and final AREA dates and then names the five cities. Nowhere does it say final US shows. But regardless , time will tell if it's last US dates for the year. I have reason to believe it is but there are still a couple of questions that still could come about. And we still don't know what's planned for November and beyond if anything

I stand corrected, and I like it!

Although you may turn out right, not quite ready to tramp the dirt down yet!

Apologies if this has already been mentioned recently- November or December UK shows? legit rumour or nothing doing? One to One hasn't reached here yet. last tour was in May 2015. Just saying
Nothing yet - not even any whispers. I've seen him live three times and would love to see him again, so I'm checking around everyday for information. Fingers crossed we get a clutch of arena dates later in the year.
I'm rapidly losing hope of getting to see him on this tour. If there are any UK shows this year , they'll have to be in November/December based on the tour schedule as it currently stands, so I suppose there's still plenty of time for an announcement - or the tour could extend into next year, but I don't know how likely that is?? It would feel like a real kick in the teeth if he missed us completely, given that he will have done 42 US shows during the One on One tour!! During the Out There tour he played 44 times in the US compared to 4 times in the UK and 9 times across the whole of continental Europe!? All I'm saying is his ratios are a bit off and I hope he addresses that
Remember last tour, apart from 3 random gigs many music lovers couldn't attend since it was crammed up in a few days in the middle of festival season including Glastonbury, it took him 2 full years into the tour to properly hit Europe and the set was old hat, the usual warmed-up scraps for us. Even the obligatory Liverpool gig was phoned in, addition-wise. And by that time the set was almost back in circles and he dropped 'Your Mother Should Know', and re-added a few songs he already had done at the previous leg 3+ years earlier. So next year 'I Wanna Be Your Man' and 'You Won't See Me' are dropped for 'Drive My Car' and 'Day Tripper' again. 'Here, There & Everywhere' already got the axe...
I hadn't thought of that, but you're right. By the time he gets to us (IF he gets to us) the tour will be pretty old hat and I suspect the enthusiasm will be diminished somewhat, certainly in terms of changing up the set list....although losing I wanna be your man wouldn't necessarily have me in tears

It's saying "Final Area Dates Added To 'One On One' U.S. Tour". I guess that means that there are going to be other dates added this year for other places outside the US?

That's the obvious implication, yes.

THIS. Final area shows...not final US shows, not final shows for the year or for the tour, not final shows ever.
