Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
-
No one has started a MIA thread yet, or did I miss it? Where are all my local so Florida PM fan buddies? Who is going, and where are you sitting? Want to plan a meet up prior to the show like last time?
-
I'll be there! Family as well!!!!
-
Finally a show I can drive there and back in the same night!!! Extremely excited. Besides, I have a lot of fond memories of that arena as I've seen the Heat win two championships there.
-
Was wondering where this thread was! Thought maybe I just missed it! Anyway.. flying in for the show from PA. Planning Florida vacation around this gig!

The show has been rescheduled to Friday July 7... Exciting production enhancements move the start of Paul's North American tour to Friday, July 7 in Miami Paul McCartney's 'One On One' tour's July 5th U.S. opener at Miami's American Airlines Arena has been re-scheduled to FRIDAY JULY 7th to accommodate enhancements to the tour's production. Tickets for the original July 5th date will be honored for the July 7th performance. Those unable to attend the re-scheduled date will be able to receive refunds at their original point of purchase. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but sincerely hope that everyone will be able to attend the show and enjoy an amazing evening.

WOW... not a cool move. I already had my hotel and flight booked from Sunday to Friday. Flight leaving Friday for home. WTH.
-
Horsens-like additions to the tour, I've heard. So unprofessional.
-
Really hoping airline and hotel can push back my travel arrangements. This is a poor move for fans that are traveling from afar to the show. I always refrain from complaining on here...but considering the mass amount of people that travel to see Paul, it's very inconvenient and could now be very costly for those seeking to make travel adjustments.
-
Cool... im going to the show anyway, and now the new date is on my birthday... (Ringo's birthday too.) sorry to those of you travelling... that sucks....

Yes, it is. I haven't booked my airfare yet, but was close to doing so. I never book non-refundable/non-cancellable hotels, so that shouldn't be hard to change. But I wonder what these "exciting production enhancements" are all about.

I did travel insurance through my airline which is where I also booked hotel through.. Hoping that travel insurance pays off and they accept a concert date change as an acceptable reason. As for these production adjustments... better make up for this hassle! :

I just saw the date change! I hope those of you flying in can get your travel schedules modified! I've flown in numerous times to see Paul, and that would really suck. The one positive is that it's now on a Friday night.
-
I guarantee there's no real "production enhancements" causing this delay. I think Miami/Tampa ticket sales were not as briskly paced as they expected. (Miami did eventually sell out, but took a little while.)... so they decided the tentative 2nd shows for each city would no longer happen.... And now that the 2nd shows are not happening, there was too much time off between Miami and Tampa. So they just pushed Miami a couple days to tighten up the schedule. That's my theory.

That might be a negative as I'd imagine weekend hotel rates in Miami are more expensive than midweek.
-
no way! not cool at all... I probably can't go now.... who wants my tickets? Hotel rooms are wasted... thanks Hotwire

Thanks! This really sucks! Called airline and I'd be charged $436 in modification fees! Crazy thing is I've never flown to see Paul before.. this was our first time flying out for a show. 16 shows have all been driving distance.. This is my luck... beyond frustrated right now!!

I'm sorry. Those airline fees really do suck. When Paul rescheduled some of the 2014 shows from June to October, I did change a couple of flights; for at least one of them, the airline fees were higher than my original airfare. For those that need concert ticket refunds, there is a deadline, per Ticketmaster: Please note This event has been rescheduled as follows Original date/time: Wednesday July 5 2017 8:00pm New date/time: Friday July 7 2017 8:00pm Original tickets will be honored on new date or refunds may be obtained at point of purchase until Sunday June 18 11:59pm.

My husband and I may have to scrap this trip By changing our flight on way home...plus hotel, that's an additional $700. Travel insurance doesn't cover this either because it's not health or weather related. Anyone have an email or contact for MPL for me to reach out to? I know I'm not alone on this issue. It's just very frustrating and upsetting that we planned our Florida vacation around this show.. then it's rescheduled just a few weeks after announcement once plans have been made.
-
Wow I am a local but still not cool for those traveling in. Funny because I got an email from "Bands In Town" today saying Paul was announcing a "new show" on July 7. Said nothing about it being the same as the July 5 show and that it was just a reschedule - assumed it was a second date added. Nothing from ticketmaster either who I bought by tickets through.
-
I was told that if your flight is with American Airlines they are being very understanding about switching your flight to accommodate the July 7th show.
