Paul McCartney 2021 - Rumours

That will never happen. Mega acts arent lowering their asking price just to tour. They just simply wont tour. Stones Macca etc charge big $$$ because they get paid big $$$$. There ticket prices won't come down. They'll stay at home.

Yeah, it's not like Paul needs the money - he's a freaking billionaire in $!

I won't be surprised if Paul doesn't tour in 2021. The fact that the 2020 tour was cancelled (even though he said they were trying to reschedule) is a clear indication that he doesn't want to make plans at the moment. After all, nobody knows when it will be truly safe for musicians, crew and fans to get together again, especially in large events like his concerts, that attract thousands of people.

Plus he will be 79 in 2021. Seriously, I would be really surprised if he decided to tour ever again. One-off gigs still possible in my opinion, though.

Yeah, I don't think Paul is going on tour until we have a vaccine or some medicine for the Covid-19. However, turning 80 doesn't mean he will not be able to tour. His stamina won't automatically disappear after June 18th 2022, we can't predict this kind of thing. IMO, he will be on tour as long as he has energy. Many fans believed that he would stop doing shows when he turned 70. Well, the man did 16 shows in the US last year, at 76.
Of course, there's not much time left. But if we get the vaccine in 2021, I don't think it's impossible for him to go on tour (probably the last one) by the end of the year, perfoming for less than 2 hours and having more days-off between the gigs. It seems that scientists are developing a vaccine faster than usual because of previous experiences with other types of coronavirus. So, let's pray for a cure as soon as possible.
Maybe the concert at Dodger Stadium was his last one, but I'm an optimist: I think Paul will be on the road for a final world tour.

It's simple to understand ... Paul definitely retired from touring. ¡ The dream is over.!

I don't think he's retiring from touring. I think he's just being prudent in waiting to see how this all shakes out. If it takes us in to 2022 or later then, yes, it would be harder for him to continue. Like most of us it just makes sense not to make any long term plans right now. Would hate to see him postpone this summers' shows to next summer and then have to possibly cancel yet again. So here is hoping for 2021...somewhere! And a vaccine that works (says a retired PharmD)!

Why don't we wait to hear what what Paul decides for himself instead of making random predictions.
He's currently writing a musical for It's A Beautiful Life. He's most likely self isolating like the rest of us. Hope he's enjoying this break the best he can, like the rest of us are trying to do.
I want for Paul, whatever he chooses for himself!

Maybe Paul has never thought about giving up concerts and tours ... We still have hope !!

He hasn't even been doing any of these at home concerts that many others have been doing. Neil Young did a few called Fireside Sessions. A few other artists have too. I wish Paul would do something similar.

To be fair, Paul did do Lady Madonna the other month which was quite enough for most fans !!

One song is not a concert.
-
I would like to see an online web gig by Paul!
And would be cool if Paul asked his fans advice about the songs to play
-
Yes an internet concert would be a good idea and he could play a mix of songs possibly not played before or seldom along with better known songs. Playing over the internet would eliminate his concern/comment about what he see when he plays a newer song (people going on beer runs, bathroom or cell phones going dark to stop recording).
He won't be able to see if someone doesn't like the song.
But I'm with some others who commented about the importance of song selection given his current voice and the possible need for other musicians to be present or playing to help smooth things out.

Right now it must be very frustrating for musical artists like Paul that really love performing... and their touring crews that make their living from these shows. Who knows how long it will be until there will be large scale shows for any band or performer. Hopefully they will be back by the summer or fall 2021... or early 2022... even without a vaccine. I know it seems hopeless right now, but all I can say is...... You may say that I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one

Those "Drive In" concerts look kind of cool.

Paul will own the publishing rights to YESTERDAY with the Lennon estate in 2021.
14%.....bull!

What does the 14% refer to?

Could someone list the last 10 or 20 concerts he's done? I can't see a list and I'm curious. I know his last UK show was London Dec 18, how many since then? Thank you!

This is under Tour Archives under Tour (up top) Of course the 2020 shows were cancelled but are still listed.
His last U.K. show was Dec. 16, 2018. He did 21 shows after that.
