The signs are a really nice, original idea!

Does anyone know if cameras are allowed at Nationals Park for the show? - like a small digital point and shoot?

While not a direct answer i would say this, given that ALL mobile/cell phones take a pretty mean picture nowadays the management would have to be pretty foolish to ban a small camera ,i suspect though most venues would take exception to a camera with a detachable lens but sure anything else should be fine.

I've had cameras at both Paul concerts I've been to and plan to bring one on Friday again. Most venues are fine with them as long as they don't have detachable lenses. The ticket I have also doesn't say no cameras allowed, which they sometimes will.

I have an extra ticket for Washington DC, Sec 214 Row 3 I was able to upgrade to a suite so looking to sell this one. Make an offer and PM me! Face value is $125. Will also post this in Face value ticket thread.

Great idea on the Drink to Me signs. We won't be sitting close enough to take part but I will be looking forward to his reaction. Are small, collapsible umbrellas OK? Also, even though we probably won't arrive until 7:30, what time are the doors opening?

Cameras: There was no problem at all for Elton John & Billy Joel in 2009...the only trouble I've had with Paul anywhere was Yankee Stadium Night #2 *never forget* Umbrellas: I'd be cautious. Usually that's near the top of the list for things venues don't let you take inside. Are you worried about the sun? It's supposed to 85 with a 10% chance of rain. Gates: I don't have a clue! I cannot find this anywhere and am quite baffled. We're most likely going down early for limo watch and will probably hang around the stadium and try to listen to soundcheck and just wait for them to open. I suggest getting there as early as possible if you have seats on the field. It will be hell getting down there.

Love the sign idea! I'm in and my friend will be too when I tell her at work tomorrow! I've planned a few surprise things for other concerts and they went over very well. I'm sure Paul will love it! Getting sooooo excited for Friday! Anybody planning to park in one of the lots around the ball park? Prices? I know they usually jack them up for Paul's shows at other venues. My friend and I are coming down from MD, leaving work early to hang out and watch for the limo and to hear some of the sound check from outside. 11th row for the show, closest yet and I know we are in for a great night!!!

So excited for Friday! This will be my 8th time seeing Paul (4th for my husband...) but the first Paul show for our kids. I just saw the weather on the news, and this week is going to be very unstable, with a chance of thunderstorms every day. I've only been to Nationals park a few times, and am wondering what happens if we get a storm. Will they just wait until it passes? They wouldn't (God forbid!) cancel the show, would they??

I believe all his outdoor shows are "rain or shine".

Thought so...just wanted someone to confirm it. I guess if there is some crazy lightning and thunder they will just wait it out...

From what I've seen of the forecast for Friday it's supposed to be around 80, partly cloudy and only about a 10% chance of rain, so perfect weather. If there's any doubt as it gets closer, just pick up a rain poncho at one of the Dollar stores. They usually come 2 to a pack and mine kept me pretty dry during a show that rained torrents (not Paul's). Remember that umbrellas are usually not permitted in arenas basically for 2 good reasons they obstruct people's view and can be used as weapons. Stick with a poncho and you should be fine. Any other boardies in Section 5, Row 11? Hope to meet some of you on Friday night!

Brilliant idea on the signs! I will be in Sec 5 Row 4 seat 15 with four of us in my group. I'll print out a couple hundred signs for us to take. Somehow we have to spread the word to everyone there (who's not on the board or the FB group) about when to hold up the signs. Also totally agree we should all sing!
I have to say that I once organized something for another artist's show that involved singing and ringing these little bells (Christmas show) The singing part didn't work out at all because people didn't follow very simple instructions printed on the card with the bells and that they were also clearly told. I think the signs will say it all. Just a thought.

We got the dollar store ponchos for our first Paul concert and ending up not even needing them! The rain cleared that night. But it was good to be prepared! I think Audi coined the great phrase...if you want to stop a drought, schedule a Paul McCartney concert. I'm RIGHT in front of you...ROW 10!

Hey guys! I'm back in for the DC gig! We bought these tix first, then scored good seats for Brooklyn.. Tried selling the DC tix then decided last minute we are going to this show too!!! Super excited! If you haven't seen any shows on this tour yet, boy are you in for a treat!!!! Hoping the rain stays away! It was a total washout the 2nd night in Brooklyn .. And that was an indoor show! Count me in on the signs btw fab idea! He'll love it!

Can't wait for this weekend! We have our hotel booked for 2 nights! The concert tickets are in hand. This will be the 5th Macca concert for the wife and I but the first for our son Also looking forward to visiting the city... it's been years since I've toured DC! Planning on visiting Ford's Theater and the Peterson House, something my wife and I have always wanted to see. We'll probably just "Wing" the rest of the weekend BTW, how likely do you think it is that Paul will play "Michelle" at this show, since he played it in DC back in '09??

Ok, did a little scrounging around on a couple of Paul FB groups and people who are going to soundcheck said that the email they were sent said to arrive no later than 3:45. So maybe an hour or so before then would be an ideal time for limo watch?
