Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
-
I would bet though the money men will be more than happy with that number of sell outs on this tour, given the current climate tours aren't selling out as fast as they once where I guess they would be more than happy 90/95% full on the dates were there's not a full house.

It looks like the Out There tour is indeed over: http://www.examiner.com/article/magazine-celebrates-mccartney-tour-two-beatles-make-holiday-music-top-10
It's over. Let's see what 2015 brings!
I didn't see where anyone officially said that OUT THERE was over as a tour name, though it probably is about time to re-brand it. The only thing that worries me is, if it's no longer called OUT THERE, will there be fewer "New" songs?
It says at the beginning of the article, here is the quote: The end of Paul McCartney 'Out There!' tour is the subject of a two-page ad in the latest issue of Billboard, dated Nov 29, that was published on Nov. 28. The ad, which features the logos of McCartney's MPL Productions Ltd., Marshall Arts USA, Concerts West, TMG, GoldenVoice and AEG Live, features a huge picture of McCartney spread over the two pages with the words ?Paul, with you OUT THERE, the world is a better place. Sixteen amazing sell outs! Thank you.?
They're just referencing the current tour though aren't they? i'd be amazed when the next live shows are announced it wont be under a different name, the OUT THERE tour has run its course, time to call it something new.
Yes, the current tour. That is what we are discussing. The end of the OUT THERE tour, like the quote says.
The article says it's the end of the tour, but nothing in the quoted ad copy indicates that. Speaking of which: sixteen sell outs? I thought almost every show was a sellout, and there have been quite a few more shows than sixteen since early 2013. How is this being measured? Wikipedia shows at least 35 sell outs since the beginning of the OUT THERE dates, and even if you just count the U.S. dates from 2014, that's 21 sell outs, according to the numbers.
So OUT THERE is continuing? What do you base that on?

I don't see any evidence to clearly state that it is ending or continuing...how about we just...WAIT...

Actually, someone on this board posted that at the last Brazil show the crew did something that may have signaled it being the last show of the tour. And what was posted above says a two page ad was in a recent Billboard and described the end of the OUT THERE tour. To say there is NO evidence is a stretch. The evidence may be conjecture on the part of third parties. But didn't Brian Ray even say something to that effect? Maybe this is all about the end of the shows for 2014. But if OUT THERE continues in 2015 in the USA and South America, that would be pretty stale. Now, shows in Europe/UK and Australia/New Zealand??? MINTY FRESH!
-
I would guess the "Out There" name is probably done. Look at the recent track record: Up and Coming Tour 28 March 2010-10 June 2011 42 shows On the Run Tour 15 July 2011 29 November 2012 37 shows Out There! Tour 4 May 2013-26 November 2014 59 shows I would guess a bit of change to the set list is in order, but maximum 4-5 songs, and most of the "New" material should stick until his next studio release. Time to guess the name I'd like to see him keep it simple: "Paul McCartney - APPRECIATE!" Ultimately though, Paul does WHAT he wants, WHEN he wants, and the tour name is mostly about selling new T-shirts and merch than anything to do with what's on stage or how it is presented.

Well, someone needs to get a hold of that Billboard ad, then! Brian just said that they were done for the year, I think. 5th Beatle mentioned Paul's crew holding up signs in the audience saying, LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS IN THE END. But no one actually said it was the end of the tour. Who knows? edschen is right: if they change it, it's all about the merchandise. How about if he just calls it the EARLY DAYS tour, and then everyone can just relax about the setlist?

Yeah. And unless he plays Albuquerque, I really don't care what it is called.

I've decided if there is a Vegas gig I'd like to attend. After 17 South American concerts it's time to attend a gig in the US, with a quiet audience

If you're going to pay $250 to hear Paul McCartney sing, you may as well hear HIM sing!!

With one exception (Brasilia) I've always heard him sing. Well, most of the time lol

It seems that there will be a tour in the US next year as a meet and greet is up for auction https://gavelandgrand.com/lot/47092-vip-meet-greet-package-with-sir-paul-mccartney Its in USD, on a US site, so one can only assume its for a US show.

If the Out Tour is over hopefully that means the mini-rising-stage is gone too

Fingers crossed! That bloody mini stage kept the audience too far from the... stage

Finally, an actual rumor on this thread. :

So far looks like 2015 will look exactly like 2013-2014. Gee, maybe it IS still the OUT THERE tour!!

He's most likely making up the Japan dates that had to be cancelled earlier this year.
