Oh well.. There's my answer! But he took out "Hi, Hi, Hi"??? Man! The Seattle 2013 curse is returning... Definitely know "Hi, Hi, Hi" will get boot next year
I was at that Seattle show, and yeah, I was kinda disappointed about not hearing Hi, Hi, Hi... but, I did get to hear Long Tall Sally!
-
A bit of a bummer that he replaced Hi Hi Hi with Kansas City. Why not just do both?

As usual really great show! He played Only momma knows and Magical Mystery Tour at sound check, sounded really good. Shelley was rockin at the end of first row, crowd was very energetic to say the least. Was surprised to see some people sitting frequently in second and third row. Live and Let Die was not as hot as in Lincoln, I don't mean the song wasn't as good as in Lincoln because it was. The heat the pyrotechnics through off in Lincoln seemed much hotter than any show I've been to. Sound was real good. Students were brought into sound check and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Overall great concert...as usual. Last one for a while!

I had a good feeling "Kansas City" would make the setlist!!! AWESOME!!!

Can you write the complete soundcheck setlist?

I learned my lesson last year! Just got back from walking down to the tent outside of the Sprint Center. I bought my t-shirts and brought them back to the hotel room!
Good luck with the new camera! Can't wait to see how they turn out! Have a rockin good time everyone.
I didn't do to well with the new camera. My hands just aren't steady enough to shoot good pictures at the max telephoto setting. I'll have to get one of those little mini-tripods to get good pics of the grandsons. The concert was great though. KC loved Paul and Paul loved KC! His energy amazes me more with each concert. He's definitely earned this 2 week break.
awww...that's too bad. But I bet many here will post pics that you will be able to download.

Darn. Why does he do this? It is a big crowd pleaser.

Would love to hear more tidbits about s/c when you have time . . .smaller group, more songs (compared to Lincoln)? However, if someone got their Band on the Run album jacket signed . . .don't tell me

He actually played a song he rarely does, and people still complain. Wow. Hi Hi Hi is a good rocker, but probably not even as good a song as Kansas City.

It's just a shame that he took out a song that had never been played in Kansas City before. It would have been more appropriate imo, to put Kansas City in the rotation slot (Get Back/ISHST).

I would have been disappointed to not hear "Hi Hi Hi" I was especially excited to see that back on the setlist as I've never seen it live. I don't live in KC, so even tho that song is a great one, it doesn't have any special meaning for me.

It sounds like you lucky ones in KC got a great show! I think even for us fans, die hard fans that we are, it's just so damn impressive and awe inspiring seeing Paul perform at the level that he does. This band is great! Both the reviews in the Lincoln and Kansas City paper were rave affairs. Paul always delivers!

Dammit Brady . . .you're 2 shows ahead of me!

Why couldn't he have just added Kansas City? I loved hearing it there in 1993 and don't see why there couldn't have just been one more song.

This may be one of the best reviews by a reviewer who has never seen a McCartney concert I have ever read. She really captures what it is like to be at one of his shows very well. Alot of excellent pictures as well. http://www.pitch.com/FastPitch/archives/2014/07/17/paul-mccartney-put-on-an-electrifying-show-last-night-at-the-sprint-center RamblinRed

Great review, thanks for sharing. Why haven't any of the KC concertgoers on here mentioned the panties yet?
