These are any he wrote or covered while in The Beatles:  (with apologies to B J who thinks we've heard them too many times!)

      P.S. I Love You

      Till There Was You

      And I Love Her

      Things We Said Today

      I'll Follow The Sun

      Yesterday

      Here, There And Everywhere

      For No One

      She's Leaving Home

      I Will

      Let It Be

      The Long And Winding Road

You Never Give Me Your Money

      Golden Slumbers

      The End

P.S. I left out Because since even though Paul is singing on it, it was written by John (and Yoko, suspected Paul) and he is singing in harmony with John & George. My favorite ballad/Beatle song is actually If I Fell, which was written by John, in which Paul sings the high melody while John sings the low harmony. So I'm conflicted if it counts as a Paul ballad.

I'll get back, Nancy!... Need to have a think....

Imposssible to argue with those listed timeless treasures, however.

Although, I do have this weird thing where I don't include covers.... even if Till There Was You is one of the greatest songs the Beatles ever recorded.,... and Paul sung... I love it to death... I adore it...

But I can't include it...  I don't do covers, when it comes to the greatest original songwriters of all time.

        I am strange like that.

Just saw your list above for" Beatle Paul Ballads".  Great list indeed but you forgot one great Paul Beatle's song that "He" did write.  This song (that I know you love) is "All My Loving".  I remember seeing a quote from John saying that this is an early Beatles' song that he "wishes" he wrote but it was "all Paul".

Yes, these are all great ballads and I am sure I could name at least a dozen more fairly quickly.  I think the difference is these songs have all been acknowledged as great songs for at least 50 years.  I still love listening to them but also want to listen to great music he has done past 1970 and talk about it. (lol). The wonderful solo ballads sadly IMO have been largely ignored by the general music audience and most critics. Will look forward to seeing additional songs people add to your list.

I don't consider All My Loving to be a ballad - it's too fast.

When I initially wrote this Post "Paul sings and writes Ballads" I was thinking of Ballads in the broader sense.  Different stokes for different folks.  I would consider "All My Loving" more of a Ballad.  Otherwise, great great song no matter how you label it and it was "all Paul".

I still disagree. It has a fast tempo and a "rockabilly" guitar break in the middle.

Your listing there, Nance, is excellent.

I will add, though, Hey Jude.... one of my faves.

All My Loving is not a ballad... but.... there was a long-running show in Australia where they signed it off every week with All My Loving sung as a slow ballad.... it's a beautiful version, slowed down.... There must be some Australians on board who know what I am talking about... The Young Talent Team... I didn't like the show.... but it was known for its iconic use of that song sung as a ballad.

I am going to say that Rocky Raccoon is also a ballad... a country ballad... And one of my faves!!

Thanks! Yeah, that should be on the list. I'm just tired of hearing it after about a million or so times! 😂
