I can hear the warble in my head now...Paul would not do those five songs much justice. Particularly the "RAM" songs...that was his vocal peak (imo)...anything live from that album would be a let down simply because of the current condition of his voice. The time to play "My Brave Face" was summer of 2017 when FITD was remastered, but he's never bothered to recognize that onstage...the faultering vocals would've been forgiveable in that instance. Same goes for "Tug of War" and "Pipes of Peace"...all five of those songs have very demanding (and high) vocal melodies. That's the big issue. He couldn't even sing the high notes in "Fuh You" and he JUST recorded that.
That's not to say there aren't options. The biggest softball of his solo career that he has stared past on the live stage would be "Take it Away". It was a moderate hit, casual macca solo fans know it, it's easy to sing a long to, sits low in the melodic register, is uptempo, AND appeases the hardcore fans as it has never been done. 2018 Sir Paul could still sing that one VERY well, live...but he won't.
Totally agree with everything you said! Dear Boy would be a train wreck at his “Egypt” station!
If you want to hear a wonderful version of "Dear Boy" , go to you tube and look for Pure McCartney vesion done by the Damn Crystals.
OMG, that was fantastic!!!

For tomorrow i would guess at the following being left out from previous tour;
new
Save us
Temporary secretary
Queenie eye
Mr kite
In spite of all the danger
Day in the life/give peace a chance
You wont see me
I personally would be fine if Paul included songs that featured from 2002 to 2013

The original! Love Paul's low part at 1:57. Great voice!

I bet he keeps Kite because that is very theatrical with the lights & all.

Plus he's stated that it's one of his favorite bass lines to play. 3 tours in a row? We'll see soon.
Probably going to be on the board a bit less frequently in the coming weeks (unfortunately) to avoid setlist spoilers. Nothing beats the surprise of a new/unexpected song. Have fun with the setlist watch for all those doing it!

I actually love hearing it live. I’d pay money to never hear Eleanor Rigby live ever again.

From the latest tour (set taken on average) it's only a safe bet 'A Hard Day's Night', 'In Spite of All the Danger'/'You Won't See Me', 'Queenie Eye', 'New' and 'I Wanna Be Your Man' are gone. He might surprise us...

I know some people don’t like this song, but I love it! And the lyrics - written to Linda’s first husband.

It is my favorite song off "RAM" and would have been so good live back in the day when he could have sang it well.

Tell me more?
I'd say this is THE set for the remainder of 2018. For some cities that's not a bad thing. However, take the people of Tokyo for example. There are only FOUR new songs on Japanese soil...and threee of them are from the newest record. He'll have to adjust greatly for the US in 2019.

Just saw the setlist on FB. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.

Unnecessary to call it 'Freshen Up'.
If it would still be 'One on One', our comments probably would be praising the horns section, the new arrengenment on 'my valentine', and From Me To You.
He put himself on this position by calling the new tour that way, of course we are going to expect much more.
Not even a few songs from the soundcheck like 'Coming Up', or 'Calico Skies', they didn't even have to learn them. No, if you want to hear those kind of songs, you still have to pay $1600.His most successful (charts-wise) album since Tug of War, and only 3 songs from it.
At the end of the day, I still look to the positive side of it. He is 76 years old, he is by far my favourite artist, and I will continue to attend to his shows because there is no other that can make me feel as happy as I am when I'm dancing in his concerts.
But, of course, this time he fooled us with that hole new- fresh tour rebranding.

I Don't Know would be a great entry into the piano section. And he said a couple of times that he's very proud of the song.
He MUST get rid of FourFiveSeconds (it's not even cool anymore).
I'll be in Montreal on thursday, I still hope for a few changes.
