$3,100 for official Platinum ticket center, row 8
Ouch! I hope you can get a ticket somewhere!
-
Was reading that the Ticketmaster bots are buying the tickets and reselling them. Not sure if that's true.
-
Did the Amex sale at 10:00. Used high speed desktop andmust have tried to buy two dozen tickets in groups of two, starting with floor Was repeatedly told Sorry... after 20 minutes, switched to IPAD and got first two tickets I went for out of dwindling allotment. Ended up in Section 109 and a higher rice. Congress needs to investigate TM. Google search shows Canadian government fined them 4million dollars for shenanigans.
this sale was for the Knoxville show.

INGOLD
I was told INGOLD was only for Gold card Amex holders.
wait what?????? Now ya have to have a gold card? I have used my regular blue Amex card in the past.....wish they would tell us this stuff ahead of time. What a racket this all is....platinum seats.....flat out price gouging.
I thought people with regular AMEX cards could use the customer service # on the back of their card. Someone on FB called AMEX and that's what they were told.
We used INGOLD with no problem, with a blue AMEX.

Why is the PM presale only showing platinum tickets? Where are the regulat tix?

Stock markets have what they call transparent pricing when new issues come to market an opening price is set and quoted and then starts moving. This Ticketmaster way you go in totally blind to what you may pay until they are actually being sold. Bots would help drive them higher. TM needs to be investigated

What a rip-off!
Yep. There's got to be a way to prevent this.

This is the first pre-sale ever where I have not been able to buy VIP tickets. I tried NJ, Boston and Syracuse, and not a one. yet lots of Platinum well over $2000. Strange day, indeed...
-
I could'nt find a ticket on the PM site for less than $2100, went to a ticket resaler and thought I had a decent seat for $500 but with fees it was over $800. Guess I'll wait to see what happens closer to the concert date.
-
Prices are outrageous .....I am so disappointed. No good seats that I can afford after losing my job cause of Covid. Very few good seats offered......platinum BS. I don't have $1000 + to spend.
will try the general public sale. -
Oh my, this looks like it will be the first time I won't be able too see Paul and the band. Wasn't able to pull anything affordable for me and with a border crossing, accommodation, exchange rate, and Covid impacting my finances, I'm so sad I'm going to have to miss this tour!!! I'm trying not to feel depressed. I do hope there will be a way for us to watch a concert live on line! I'm in BC, Canada and was trying for one of the Washington shows. Who knows what crossing the border would be like, I'm thinking "not good". I noticed that there was no way to try for single seats...I don't recall that being the case in the past. I hope others have much better luck!

I agree with you John, they do need to be investigated.
Right before Covid lockdown, I went to buy a ticket for a show (not Paul's) I was signed in, in plenty of time. I had much experience buying concert tickets, sometimes it can take an hour to get a ticket.
Well 3 minutes in, Ticketmaster was reselling tickets at at least double the price. As someone mentioned here, you could only buy them in lots of 2. (Really frustrating if you are a single concert person like myself). I don't remember if I actually wound up going, because it was such a frustrating experience. Now, with so many average people, having experienced financial issues through Covid, it seems so unfair and shocking, facing prices that are greater than mortgage payments, as someone here mentioned. I'm sure there are many like myself who wanted to finally get out and have "so much fun" at a Paul concert, like they did back before Covid. Sending out lucky prayers that our great group of wonderful Paul fans, many whom I've met over the years, that we can all get a decent seat that doesn't require a jumbotron, binoculars and some oxygen for high altitudes, just to see our favourite Paul. 🥳 -

Here's an article about Ticketmaster's "prices may fluctuate on demand" policy and resale sites as it relates to the Syracuse show.
-
Definitely some TM funny business going on. Someone on another secondary site had 11 tickets up for sale in the same row.

So disheartening! There must be a reason this kind of thing hasn't been officially dealt with after all these years of fishy business goings on.

Hi everyone - haven't checked up on the Maccaboard very much during COVID, but I'm happy to be back after a several year hiatus! Stoked to have gotten tickets to the MetlLife stadium show. Enjoy the show everyone!
