I'm sorry you reacted with feeling hurt. I thought I made some valid points, and I wasn't trying to be sadistic or to offend you. I've seen different types and ages called up to the stage. It wasn't just one certain type.
And I've got a a soft spot for children and wanted to speak up for them. To take up for them. I wonder what bothered you so much, and wonder if others reading it thought it was an awful, hateful post.
It bothered me because it's ageist, straight up. Children are NOT the only special people or the only ones allowed to be sensitive and comforted and protected. Just becuase I'm a so-called "adult" now doesn't make me any less special than them! My heart needs just as much care and love.
Good grief lady don't go to the gigs then if you get so worked up about this. Who cares who gets called up!?!? Are you there to be seen or to hear music??
Btw, this conversation has expanded waaaay beyond the scope of concerts, or even the Beatles themselves, if you haven't noticed. We're now talking about ageism and how kids are always favored in this world. But back to my original ponit, yes, it bothers me that within this fandom (and most others) kids are always the ones treated like they're special. If an adult, for instance, posts a picture of herself showing off her Beatles records collection, people might think it's cool, but they won't fawn over it. If a child, on the other hand, were to post the same kind of picture, you'd be getting all these "awww, how coot" comments. It's ageist and wrong.
Theyre favored in the world(generally) so they are given a fair shake in life, so they when they get older they don't have an infeiriority complex like you do.
Most kids dont listen to the beatles, thats why people think its "cute" and "fawn" over them. Again, children require proper attention so they don't become attention starved adults
Somebody give this lady a hug already!
