Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

I think its shown how bad this virus is if hes staying in Japan as we all know though trying to shake the effects of any virus off is time consuming but thete is no reason not move him surely in the next day or two home is a good a tonic as you can get.
-
We have been told all that we need to know. Whatever we were told there would be people speculating that we are not being told the full truth. Medical details and details of who is there and who isn't are private. If this had happened when Paul was at home - as it has no doubt done on many occasions, as it does to all humans, we would know nothing about it. It is also quite likely that he has been quarantined - so not moving from the hotel room could be as much to stop him infecting everyone as anything else. Anyway, get well soon Paul!

femaleanimal: I completely agree with everything you said. Saves me from having to come up with the words myself

He may have been staying with the hope of rescheduling the concerts before going to S. Korea next week. Besides he's probably getting some of the best medical care in the world right now in Japan.

The South Korean update was leaked yesterday.. I'm not surprised, really. Rushing back to do 1 show next week wouldn't be wise when looking at the big picture.. He's got an entire US Tour at risk if he goes back to work too early. Nearly a full month of rest and recovery is a wise business move (and obviously, health move) when looking at the big scheme of things. We've all encountered a flu before at some point. I had it a few weeks ago over Easter and was down for nearly a week. I had the worst and most painful cough I had ever encountered.. so mine was respiratory. We don't know what exactly Paul has, but IF it's respiratory, singing, sweating on stage, and all the energy he puts forth during one of his shows could set him back. I know that when I pushed myself around the Easter holiday (thinking I was better and getting over my symptoms), I was even worse that evening and had to miss 2 days of work following.. and my work clearly isn't as strenuous as a full blown 3 hour concert on the road..lol It's common sense for Paul to postpone these shows.. While it's heartbreaking for fans in Asia, he has a 2 month tour that follows at stake...and his overall health. Rest easy, Paul. We know you feel awful and want to make this up to your fans! But your health comes first! You're a human being as the rest of us.. just a very special one near and dear to many hearts worldwide!

Gina brought up a good point....cancelling Seoul was probably more of a BUSINESS move than a health move
-
I find it a bit puzzling that the official website and Twitter and Facebook accounts haven't been updated since Sunday, despite the fact that the whole Asian tour has been cancelled now. I guess Paul and his team are trying to avoid as much speculation as possible and are only giving out information to the local promoters, because, well, they kind of have to.

Also we have to think about the payroll aspect... Keeping everyone on his staff and crew in Japan this week then flying them to S. Korea for one show...when he may or may not be 100% by the time of that show. That's a huge expense and risk. Wise move to keep him rested until Texas next month. I'd expect him to go back home in a few days if not sooner. Traveling IS exhausting, even if he does have his own private jet.. So that's probably why he has stayed where he is at..

This is not from official release, but according to Japanese media, Paul is admitted to a hospital in Tokyo from 20th of May. His wife, Nancy arrived Tokyo on 21st and stay with Paul at the hospital. Nancy told that she will bring Paul back to UK after his condition back. His band members has left from Japan yesterday. Paul had arrived Tokyo on May 15th evening and had ill from 16th.

Is anyone able to translate this article? Google translate will not cooperate. It's linked from twitter where it says he's planning surgery. http://sankei.jp.msn.com/smp/entertainments/news/140522/ent14052206450003-s.htm?utm_medium=app&utm_source=smartnews&utm_campaign=android

According to this, he may need surgery. Constant vomiting and diarrhea since just after getting to Japan: http://wogew.blogspot.com/2014/05/surgery-for-paul.html He must be feeling absolutely horrible. I hope they can figure this out.

I suspect it is something many people get. He will be cured. People get sick all the time, he just happens to be very famous. I am cautiously optimistic he will be quite ok. Having said that, the man is getting older, and this sort of thing will become more frequent. It is the natural order of things. Touring for him will become less frequent. God bless you, Mr. McCartney! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

This morning when I read the headline "Paul McCartney hospitalized" I just cried. I know he must be in a hospital but to see the words made me cry. I hope he is okay.
-
Stay positive, folks. Sure, it's worrisome anytime someone you care about is hospitalized for any reason. I'm sure media outlets will use this opportunity to make it look worse than it could be. I'm looking at it this way.. It's better to be under medical care so that the situation doesn't worsen..Plus he will be getting the fluids he needs. "Surgery" is one word that any reporter could have thrown in there...plus we have to deal with the translation too. Just keep the faith and keep praying for Paul's recovery.. that's about all we can do!

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/paul-mccartney-hospitalized-for-virus-complete-recovery-expected-20140522 What a relief...I've been on pins and needles since news of his illness broke. I truly do hope he is able to reschedule the Japanese and Korean shows.
-
This is such GOOD news!!! I honestly don't know how Paul can keep the pace he does!! I'm younger than he is and wouldn't be able to keep up!! I was beyond exhausted at his concert, just listening, screaming and singing.....and there he was....not a break and not even drinking water!! What a amazing man.......so he's more than allowed and I pray he paces himself and never has to feel ill again....... Nancy -- reel him in once in a while!!!

Getting IV fluids after a nasty bout of "outpouring" can really make a difference. I"m glad he is in good hands with great medical care close by.
