Juniors Farm, Jet, Listen To What The Man Said, Let Me Roll It, 1985???? Wings baby!!!!
NICE!!! Junior's Farm, Jet, and LTWTMS are a much better trifecta than Save Us, Letting Go, and Temporary Secretary. It would be nice to salvage Letting Go...maybe rotating with Let Me Roll It, but we know that won't happen. Still, very good! Hope I can get this set of songs Friday plus V&M/RS for the opener!
He did Juniors Farm and Jet for night 2 in Tinley. Replacing Save Us and Letting Go. And it was awesome. I love Letting Go (especially Wings Over America). But as far as 2017 Paul goes, I'll take any of those at any time. Didnt think we'd LTWTMS again any time soon.

Same here...we got Junior's Farm & Jet in Tampa....hadn't heard either since 2013 and 2012. The last time he played LTWTMS was Philly 2015 and I remember his voice being a little unsteady and figured that's why it disappeared the next night in Virginia. Not complaining about that either though...we got "Got To Get You Into My Life" AND "One After 909" to replace it!

He just said "fake news" again before playing " I Wanna Be Your Man", so I guess he will keep doing that joke at all US concerts. Did he say it at the July concerts? -

agreed. These little changes really liven up the 1on1 setlist. Now replace I Wanna Be Your Man with Letting Go and 45Seconds with Mrs Vanderbilt or I'm Looking Through You and we've got ourselves a show Looks like I Saw Her Standing There replaced Birthday tonight, further enhancing the setlist- https://www.pscp.tv/w/1MYxNXdVqqXGw?q=paul

While none of these changes are earth-shattering, I do hope they are indicative of what's to come with the remainder of the leg. Last time I heard him do "Helter Skelter" it was pretty rough...hopefully he can cook up some other tunes that haven't been rotated in awhile.
-
Did he leave out "And I Love Her"? It's not on the setlist site, but it could've just been overlooked. That one has held it's spot firmly since 2012, and was rotated rather frequently since '09 before that.
-
Looks like even the press is noticing- "The set list on Monday was nearly identical to his Jersey set list from last summer, with "Here, There and Everywhere" and "The Fool on the Hill" subtracted, and "I Wanna Be Your Man" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)" added. " (NorthJersey.com) "The sprawling 38-song set was virtually identical to the one McCartney rolled out on his first U.S. leg last summer, which visited MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford Aug. 7, 2016" (NJ.com) "Surprisingly, he didn't dip deep into Sgt. Pepper - just "Mr. Kite" and the title-track's reprise - despite all the worldwide celebrations this summer over the album's fiftieth anniversary" (RollingStone)

This will only be the beginning if he doesn't turn it around this month. Not that it really matters, but the press will not be kind if he plans on ping-ponging the same night 1/night 2 setlists.

And I Love Her was played, according to my periscope feed, but Fool on the Hill was skipped again. Seems it's just been dropped to no replacement. Maybe he'll wheel Your Mother Should Know back out to replace it

Hopefully he'll spruce it up. Throwing Sing The Changes with the NY lyric in to replace TS, maybe another Got to Get You Into My Life /CBML swap, maybe I've Just Seen A Face/We Can Work It Out, tossing in All My Loving or One After 909, all soundcheck songs, wouldn't be that difficult to do.Seems like he may be realizing that. I've always also thought that Flaming Pie could get a good reaction if the John/dream/flaming pie story was told beforehand in the "deep-cut" TS spot or just as a good rocker to carry the adrenaline in the Save Us/Jet slot
-
Absolutely. I can't say I'd be too stoked over "Sing The Changes". It never got a great reaction live and kind of overstayed it's welcome for the four years it stayed in the set BUT, I'd certainly welcome anything that hasn't been dusted in awhile...and ANYTHING is better than "Temporary Secretary"...within reason.
-
If it is in the cards for Billy Joel to stop by (it is his jaunt after all), I wonder if they might do "A Day in The Life" together because Billy has been playing it at all his shows this year. They could do it in the encore after Pepper's reprise, or tag "Give Peace a Chance" on there.....or do their usual "I Saw Her Standing There" duet, too!

PatMcNJ:
And we kept telling these duds in our section who were leaving after Paul left stage for 1st time, hey he will play for 20 more minutes, do not leave! But they all left anyway. .
Thank you (and all the other attendees!) for your reviews! One thing about people leaving early...many people in NY/NJ take trains to/from concerts, and it's possible with the late start that maybe they had to leave in order to make their last train home. Not excusing people who leave early (I never do!), but that could be one reason.
-
I doubt SING THE CHANGES will make a return to the setlist. That was an Obama song as seen with the graphics as the backdrop. Just saying nothing else to it
