Seeing Billy Joel on Sunday in a 460 seat venue for an "In Conversation" thing. Got my ticket from Stubhub for $26; it's general admission. Can't wait. And Jon, U2 is on fire this year. ****ing incredible show. You're in luck. Very jealous.
Thanks KingMacca, have a feeling its gonna be pretty spectacular!

Just returned from Cheap Trick's opener here in S Florida. It was the first time I'd seen them in about 30 years so I was so excited to go with my 16 year old. I can't say I didn't enjoy it, but I would have rather seen Paul wearing a paper bag over his head and clucking like a chicken for a minute than Cheap Trick's whole 90 minute show. I feel like unless it's Paul, I'll sit it out these days.

Oh yeah, the opener was Lenny Kravitz and he was fantastic! Even Bono said so.

Amazing show by U2 this evening. The visuals and stage design are just out of this world. To top it off Noel Gallagher joined them on stage for the last song. Show was about 2.5 hrs, Thank you Bono, the Edge, Adam and Larry, its a night I wont forget. Setlist was: The Miracle (of Joey Ramone) Out of Control Vertigo I will follow Iris( hold me close) Cedarwood road Song for someone Sunday Bloody Sunday Raised by Wolves Until the end of the World Invisble Even better than the real thing Mysterious ways Desire Angel of Harlem Every Breaking Wave October Bullet the blue sky Zooropa Where the streets have no name Pride (In the name of love) With or Without you Encore: City of Blinding lights Beautiful Day Mother and child reunion I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For ( with Noel Gallagher)

Went to see The Waterboys at the Liverpool Empire last sunday, with it has to be said a very ill husband,an ear infection isnt the place really at a concert as I told him,so he had a fairly misrable time in truth, the band though were on good form if a little song lite from the last time we saw them, did a very of Princes Purplr Rain to end it all so that was fun. Caro Emerald on tuesday night to end our concert year.

Just booked to see Billy Joel at Wembley Stadium, next September. Will have been 10 years since I've seen him previously. There's still quite a few songs I still haven't heard him do live, hopefully that i'll change.!

Kinda forgot about this thread! My 2015 concert year in review... 1. The British Invasion Tour (Peter Asher, Billy J. Kramer, Denny Laine, Chad & Jeremy, Mike Pender, Terry Sylvester) 2. Felix Cavaliere & Mark Farner 3. Sir Paul #8 4. John Fogerty 5. Sir Paul #9 6. Billy Joel in Baltimore (woo!) 7. Motley Crue & Alice Cooper 8. The Beach Boys (Mike Love, Bruce Johnston, David Marks) 9. Ringo #5 (5th row in B-more!) 10. Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, & Blondie Chaplin (2nd row!) Truly not a bad show in the lot. I'd declare Paul in Philly the best show of the ten however, Billy Joel is a VERY close second!! So far for the new year I've got: Feb. 17th- The Beach Boys- The Lyric Opera House- Baltimore, MD (Mike & Bruce) March 24th- The Who- Verizon Center- Washington, DC (Rescheduled Date)

Saw him at the New Yorker Fest in October. $25 Q&A. General admission, I snagged second row. Eight feet from him for 2 hrs. He had a piano setup, did "Roberta" from Streetlife Serenader, "Falling of the Rain" from Cold Spring Harbor, and "You're My Home" as well as a solo on piano "Miami 2017" and various other snippets. It was epic. Afterwards, fans rushed the front of the stage and my friend got his phone signed, I shook Billy's hand a got a selfie with him. My friend and I left, and Billy made his way out the main doors (there was no stage door, it was a convention room) and fist bumped us on the way out. Show was Sunday October 4. 5 pm show, went till 7, home by 8. Probably the best day of my life.
