I was thinking the other day while listening to chaos and creation what recent (I'd say 2000 to present) Macca solo song could you picture being on a Beatles album? I'd have to say Jenny Wren. To me, this song would fit seamlessly on Rubber Soul or even the White Album. What are your opinions?

'With a Little Luck' would have fit in nicely on Abbey Road.

I think Great Day would fit on Rubber Soul or the White Album.

Tough question - because of the varying production applied to his music since the Beatles broke up, most people are going to chose songs that are superficially produced similarly to Beatle songs...Probably more than half of his post beatles output could appear on Beatles albums if they were produced to sound like other songs from a given Beatles album

Oh, all of the above, and: "Daytime Nighttime Suffering". That song just sounded like a Beatles' song the first time I heard it.

I would say Every Night", "My Brave Face" and "That Was Me" immediately come to mind.

                          Maybe I'm amazed !!

Queenie Eye. On the White Album.

"If you want the Beatles, go see Wings"-George Harrison 1974

"This is for all the Wings fans!" - McCartney introducing "1985" for the first time on American soil (Phoenix 2010)

Put it There..... would've sat nicely on a Beatle album.

I think "Friends To Go" would have been a Harrison/McCartney song on a Beatles record.

Very clever point. The Beatles in 1980 (if they were still a group) will not sound the same in the sixties, also in 1990 and 2000 etc. compare a beatles record 1963 to 1965 to 1967 to 1969 and see how much they change in ideas and production. I think Paul of all the Beatles after the break up was always trying to bring new sound and production, and he always sounded more like the Beatles than the others, that's one of the reasons why people keep comparing his production to Beatles days, his records sounds like a new era Beatles record but maybe not always in the same quality. for example: - (Maybe I'm Amazed,Another Girl, Uncle Albert, My Love, Band On The Run, Jet) could have been main hits in any Beatles record in 1972-73 era. - (Coming Up, WaterFalls, One of these days) could have been Beatles hits in 1980. - (Tug Of War) Album in 1982, I always look at it as a whole Beatles record in 1982. - the singles (Pipes of Peace, No More Lonely Nights) 1983-1984 - (My Brave Face, You Want her too, This One, Distractions, That Day Is Done, Put it There, Figure OF from 1989 could have been main songs in any Beatles Record in late 80's - (Mistress and Maid, Somedays, Beautiful Night, Used to Be Bad, Calico Skies, What it is, Great day, Souvenir) from the 90's

                                      Love is all you need
