Album in the fall, like others have speculated, but the teasing does lead to an imminent release tomorrow.
I don’t know what a single released 3-4 months earlier does for hype in today’s media environment, but I’m happy for new music.

I still find it very difficult to accept that Paul will release a new album in July or August, and really its far too late for it to be in June.
Just having a very quick look back through his career discography, I think the last album released during the height of summer that Paul was involved with, was Revolver, released in August 1966. Before that album it was Help in August 1965 & A Hard Day's Night, in July 1964. But both those latter albums were soundtracks to films that were released to coincide with the holiday market. As a general rule, sales are always down in the summer months and don't really pick up until the Autumn.
I'm quite mystified as to why he didn't wait until September to crank up the publicity machine. Now does strike me as being a strange time.
Maybe just a single will be released now and pre-orders for the album will take place for a September release followed by shows promoting the new music.
Yes,that does appear to be the situation. No doubt a second single will arrive with the album in September. In the meantime its quite nice to have what is in effect (for now anyway) a stand alone single. Hope its a big hit for Paul.

I agree, the single will be forgotten by the time new album is released.

Well at least we finally have something official! Don't like the wait until fall for the album, but I guess that will coincide with the tour dates.

Not necessarily. It’s not unusual for a lead single to be released well in advance of an album these days - especially if there is a lot of hype surrounding it and/or the record company are particularly excited about it. The lead single from Sting & Shaggy’s 44/876 album this year was released three months before the album. In fact, the album was not even complete at that stage! However, the song didn’t actually start getting radio play here in the UK until a few weeks before the album came out. This might well be the case with these two new songs from Paul.

Will the songs be available later tomorrow or from midnight?

Time will tell!

I'd been getting into his "New" album again and digging it, and this news here is galvanizing, something big to look forward to, and that album cover is intriguing, quirky and funky for lack of a better word...exciting to know he drew all that, but what does "Egypt Station" mean to him you reckon, is it a name of a song on there, my heart's jumpin' and fluttering madly
The word "Egypt" and showing pyramids...is he a member of the "Illuminati" you think? LOL.

Gone midnight here in the UK. Can’t find the new tracks on iTunes.

New was released at midnight in the UK so I had my hopes up but yeah I guess we'll just have to wait!

Amazon leaked the release date as the 7th of September - been deleted now but was up there for a while.

Have they said where the actual album with the singles will be available? Online, in stores or both?I haven't seen it for pre-sale anywhere. I had a crazy busy day at work so I haven't been able to keep up with all the news and posts.

7th of September would make sense, assuming that the Lennon "Imagine" project comes out in October, and the White Album 50th comes out in November. I imagine the Archive releases would be next year sometime.

Is this actually a physical vinyl record release tomorrow as a double-A-side single? The blurb on the website is incredibly vague and yes, for someone like Paul McCartney in the year 2018, a three month gap between single and album is a bit silly, even if tour dates are imminently to follow. I figured with Carpool Karaoke airing on Thursday night that perhaps the single would drop Friday morning and maybe a rush "surprise" release of the album the following Tuesday, but that's obviously not the case.
Anyway- are we getting a hard copy of this sucker tomorrow or not?!

I was under the impression we were receiving "Wild Life" and "Red Rose Speedway" this fall. Is that no longer on the table? God knows he pays zero attention to the archive collection on tour, so even if he is on the road with a new record to tout, I doubt these would get attention either way. Lennon's reissue for the millionth time is also inconsequential.

Apologies for tiny photo, but this was on amazon, before they yanked it.

It's past midnight on the east coast, and I can't find any sight of it on iTunes. I assume it'll be available to buy on the usual sites today, right? The press release was awfully vague about how to actually buy it for some reason.

I can't see how it could possibly be available physically, or else SOMEONE who works in a record store would have piped up by now and mentioned that they got a shipment of it, ready to go for the morning. Unless the singles all get magically delivered by drones on Wednesday!

Perhaps the Lennon release is inconsequential, but I just can't see Capitol promoting Archive releases mere weeks after a brand-new Paul album, and within weeks of the White Album reissue.
