Buying Hot Sound Package and going ALONE :)
-
I’ve done it, and I’m about to do it again in Quebec City. Just remember, for that one evening, you have everything in common with everyone there. You are a member of “the club”. I have found fellow Fans to be the friendliest, most talkative group of people around. Stories of past concerts and songs flow easily. Nothing like enjoying an evening in that kind of environment.
-
Did it in 2016 in Paris and it was a blast as I made it to the rail on top of it but yes, as others have mentioned, chances are you'll be with uberfans who go to many of these and know one another. They'll still talk to you though and why not since everyone's in a good mood and trying to enjoy this unique (well not for those who keep going!) to the max ! I'm happy I did it but given the price (even if Europe seems cheap to our fellow American fans) I won't be going back, it's just not "reasonable"and it's easier to "single out" the memories of one such event and not get "blurred" memories

Has anyone who uses a wheelchair ever been to a soundcheck? Will I be able to see and get up front, because, people are always standing or dancing, and if I'm not in the front row, I wouldn't be able to see him.
-
I never had the experience of the sound check. I would love to go but I am not sure if I could afford it not because it sounds expensive. It would be nice to meet other Paul fans though!
-
The hot sound package is expensive but it totally sounds worth it. Is it ridiculous that I'm thinking of doing the front row package? I'm 5'2 so being in the front row would allow me a more open view. If its in the side sections on the floor like it said, is the view as good? I've heard people say that the camera recording the video was in their way.

Hoenstly, as someone who's been front row by the piano and also 4th row center, I prefer 4th row center. I think front row is too close honestly. 4th row gives you some perspective. You're right up front and it's like seeing Paul in a bar, only with 20,000 people behind you cheering. Seen Paul 20x and Elton John 39x. Been front and second row for Elton many times, but my favorite for him was also 4th row center. To me it's the best seat in the house.

They would put you in the aisle next to the other people who are in the closest row they allow. You would have a great view! Be pro-active and ask the person who leads everyone in to the arena to make sure you are placed there!
You understand that everyone has to be behind the first sections (F1, F2, F3) for soundcheck, right? The last SC I did it amounted to being in about the 25th row. In Memphis we were placed further back, by the soundboard.

I would personally never pay $2100 for a front row package. Unless you by some miracle get a high (#14) seat in sec. F1 or a low (#1) seat in sec. F3. That would place you close to center. And you are correct, the camera booms could block your view. Go for Hot Sound Package which was $1600 last year (don’t know what it is today) and try for seat in F2. My 3 SCs I have always been in F2 center section, either row 3 or 4. Fantastic view! I was dead center last year in 4th row!

Hey everyone!
I will be going to Copenhagen november 30 with a hot sound standing package. Really looking forward to it but since this is my first time with a package like this, I am curious about some things; once you enter the venue and take your place, is it even possible to go to the bathroom and so on (during the concert that is)? Can you leave and return? And what can that onsite event management staff do for you?
Is anyone else from here going to Copenhagen?
thanks!!

Of course you can leave to go to the bathroom, just like any other concert! Are you saying that you don’t have an assigned seat? Oh, then you will lose your place if you leave for any reason.
The onsite event management staff just escorts the group to the soundcheck and back to the dinner (that may not be included in your package, but it always is in the U.S.) They also hand out the merchandise.

I agree. I had 4th row center in 2013 and it was the best view I've ever had. Paid no where near $1,600 but I'd be willing too if I had to and had the money to do so.
I was front row at Lollapalooza inbetween Paul and Brian. A good view, but I might rather have been right in front of Paul 10 feet back from the baracade for a better view. Plus the stage was really hi hi hi at the festival. Much more so than an arena show. Can't complain. Best $100 I ever spent.

I like rows 2-4 on Brian's side but closer to the middle. You have a clearer view of Paul. When you are dead center he has the mic in front of his mouth in most of your pictures! (if you're taking pics)

Thank you Nancy! Yeah, it is a standing ticket, so I better wear a diaper just in case...

Someone who's done soundcheck at a standing show would have a better answer more specific to Paul, but I've done standing shows before for people other than Paul, and once the show starts, I don't leave. If you need to leave before the show, just make friends with the people standing around you and let them know you are leaving and returning. When you leave the floor, make a note of the people you walk past on your way out, and make sure to walk past those same people on your way back in to your spot. Then they will remember you, and not think you are someone who is just trying to push their way to the front.

Yeah, exactly! It would be such a shame if you could only enjoy that excellent (and expensive) spot for so long... But for Paul I'm willing to risk some angry faces

I just realized you must have to line up early to get a close standing spot. That is why I would NEVER do standing only. If you have an assigned seat, you can go to the bathroom right before you go to your seat and you don’t have to leave to pee (I never have except once in all the concerts I’ve been to and that was during the Ravi Shankar part of George’s concert in 1974!)

I'm going alone to the SC in 02 London. Hoping to see you there....Who will be there?
-
I don't have a hot sound package, but I'll have to go alone. Nobody else in this sleepy little town wants to pay that much to see somebody in concert. They're all into rap, hip hop, country, heavy metal, "shag" beach dance music. I was amazed looking up ticket prices for the Greenville, S.C. venue, seeing even left over ones way in the back and top are all $500.00 or more. That's before the "service charges." I heard Rod Stewart for example charges a lot more than that, though, for all seats. And the Stones. There's no telling how much Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber and all them's tickets go for. May 27 of next year seems a long time to wait, but it's something real big to anticipate.

I'll be at the Liverpool gig alone for the Hot Sound Package, bit nervous about it as will be first time so if anyone else is going would be cool to know!
They've put me on Row H too right in the middle of Block B, so just wondering if this is a decent seat or not?
Also how many usually are at the Soundcheck from past experiences?
Cheers!
