I pre-ordered the blu-ray special edition from Amazon. Still no extra footage, but it comes with 4 picture cards.
It's an underwhelming release.... I was hoping for the extra mooted six hours of footage.... I'll hang on for awhile... It's only 90 bucks a year for the Disney subscription, so I can watch it any time I like.... here's hoping there is a bigger release down the line....
Disney+ with no commercials here is $8/mo. or $80 if you pay for the whole year. I think you can get it for $4.99/mo. with commercials. I pay extra already for HBO, STARZ, Showtime & EPIX. Don't want another pay service. I like to have the physical product anyway.
Amazon is showing that the blu-ray is not available now!

I think I have six streaming services.... and I love them all!.... (Yellow Jackets, YellowStone, Ozark, dare I say Cobra Kai, etc).... I was just hoping the official Blu Ray release was going to have the additional six hours that was kinda mentioned... either way... this whole release was BRILLIANT... I will keep watching on Disney.... otherwise, I will wait for the moment when those additional six hours are released.... well, presuming that is true! ... let us hope so...

Did you happen to read some of Peter Jackson's comments regarding the filming of the Beatles by Michael-Lindsay Hogg as they went about their creative process? He said, essentially, that as much as he loved the Beatles, as a director, he watched Hogg throughout the filming, his reactions to what was happening or not happening, and that he wondered how Hogg kept smiling and laughing and kept his cool through it all, and that had it been him directing back then he would have yelled a time or two. He said it was like Hogg was"herding cats," and that he didn't quite understand how he could keep his wits about him throughtout the process. (I kinda' thought the same thing when watching the eight hours. I kept wondering why they seemed to be wasting so much time with such a, for the most part, self -imposed deadline rapidly approaching!!! Hogg was just sorta there. Yes, Ringo had to make a film with Peter Sellers, but.... ) But....they pulled it off!!!

Get Back DVD that was too have come out yesterday has been delayed due to what are described as technical issues surrounding making the discs. Just googled it after Amazon's standard wotprding of not knowing when or if released

The wrong audio mix was used or something like that.

Thank you. I am glad they discovered the flaw.

Geez, one would think they discovered the flaw... like ages ago.... that is bizarre.

From what I've read on-line, the problem is with the US discs where the 5.1 surround sound mix was mistakenly downmixed to 2-channel stereo.

Amazon emailed me this afternoon with new estimated arrival time of March 6-15! Quite a delay.

Received the DVD last week, watched it this past weekend. So much better this time to be able to watch it again and catch the little things I missed the first time around.

WHAT?! Why have I only received an email from them 2 days ago asking me if I still wanted it? They said there was a shipping delay. 🤬

From Englishman Richard Porter on FB: (he does Beatles walking tours in London)
It seems we will have to wait a while longer for the release of the Get Back DVD.
Australian retailers were sent the following message from suppliers:
"We have just been informed by Disney that the below title has been delayed indefinitely, due to authoring challenges:
162580 – BLR The Beatles: Get Back
Our order with Disney has been cancelled and we are instructed to re-order once a new date is set.
We recommend you do the same via your All Interactive Distribution login.
We will endeavour to update you, once we have confirmation on the new release date."
However the official Beatles Website still has the release date as May 27th.
We will bring you more info when we have it.
