Does ANYONE have info about USA?????? ANYTHING???? Starting to worry.
Starting to worry also. Mainly due to how quiet it's been.... However, maybe the person on the Firefly phone line meant that it is the only announced gig of the summer. Nonetheless, I am worried.. Like many of us, I've been counting on US summer shows since last year.

Ahh.... Never thought of that. Crazygina, you're not that crazy! Still, proceed with caution. June 27 and 28 are open at MSG. Methinks something maybe brewing. All dates surrounding it are booked solid... Bette Midler on 6/25 and 6/26, Rush 6/29, Shania 6/30, Billy Joel 7/1. Hmmm....

Thanks! I tried google earth and it does look pretty out of the way and desolate. It must be the Mexican in me that expects crazy crowds days before

Thanks for the explanation - that's surely frustrating. The problem is that pre-sale through crowdsurge doesn't give you print at home option, so I might just wait for the general sale directly with the venue. Is the area near the arena ok enough safety-wise to camp out from the night before? The GA show I did was Atlanta 2010 where the pre-sale tickets were supposed to give you an hour earlier entry - at same time as VIPs. Some camped out, I got there 4am day of the show. So it was about 12 hours in full sun and humid 100 degree weather (37 ish centigrades). At 4pm people started cutting in front of us. Some talked to security, there was jeering and pushing and people linked arms since we'd been chatting all day long. Horrendous organization! So there was no early entry for pre-sale, just a mad dash of fans down a slopping grass field to make it to the front.
The square where all the shops and venues and stadiums are is pretty much deserted and dark during the night. I wouldn't recommend staying at a place like that at night anywhere in the world. Also, camping out the evening before is really a waste of time and energy, you don't even see that for One Direction. Besides, you get the people with early entrance in front of you anyway.

Oh I hope you are onto something. That would be fantastic. I could go for a MSG gig. But do they usually ever have back to back to back shows? Sandwiching Paul between Bette Midler and Rush.. 2 big names, 3 including Paul. I know MSG is a mega venue but not sure if that's doable. Doesn't Paul's crew usually set up the day before the show?

Not necessarily. Re my other post, Firefly guy said they'd post a banner saying that it was only US appearance

Re my other post, Firefly guy said they'd post a banner saying that it was only US appearance
Hmm...interesting. I'd be surprised if he doesn't do anything else in the States in the summer. Considering the rumors in the pot of several southern appearances, the fact that he'd travel from Europe for only one show, and the fact that NYC hasn't seem him in a full concert setting in two years! How early did he announce the US gigs for the 2013 Out There tour? Wasn't it somewhere around this time? -Rubber Soul13

Bonnaroo gig was announced in February 2013. The first dates of U.S. dates of the "Out There" were announced in April 2013.

Personal peculation (and pipe dream): There's a week between the Liverpool and Marseilles shows. could this be time enough to squeeze in another date in the UK? Potentially in Glasgow? It has that shiny new SSE Hydro Arena... which doesn't show any booked shows for dates between May 29 and June 4. Anyone else think there might be a second round of dates in Europe announced once the tickets go on sale for these announced shows?

On the mainpage isn't any comment that further announcement follows. But the gaps did really tempts to the idea that there could be 2-4 further concerts. There is also a little gap between Amsterdam and Paris. Following the "1 day break sheme" there could be on 9th june a another gig too. There a some european cities with potential... but to bet is too risky.

Sounds pretty final to me. Should've added a second date in Liverpool, though... I have a feeling US dates will fill in the later gaps.

If Firefly is the only US concert appearance when he's here, he still could make a few TV appearances around that time. There could be something else to promote by then: next Archive reissues? Lady Gaga collaboration? I don't see any signs that the High in the Clouds movie is close to being done other than his recording with Lady Gaga, who supposedly has a role in it, but there's an outside chance that it could be close. As far as more US concert dates, I'm thinking late July at the earliest, maybe the fall.

True. Unlike other years the announcement doesn't leave the door open for further shows to be added. Likely the Paris show will be the last of the first round of Europe shows. Then on to the US, probably East Coast. I agree, there should have been a second Liverpool show. Not sure why they didn't anticipate the demand. I second Liverpool show is not happening though, because Birmingham is the night before (pun intended) and on the 29th Maroon 5 is scheduled to perform at Echo Arena. Wouldn't make sense to move stage to another venue within the same city.

I think they want to keep gigs like the one in Liverpool special. Surely they anticipated the demand. Even with those prices. If they would plan all this by demand they would do an UK tour every year. (And uhm, not play football stadiums in Europe...)

I think those are very well educated guesses. I also think he's due for a Canada return. I hope you turn out to be right! But you never know. He could throw in a random city to really get OUT THERE! Now... is anybody OUT THERE with some inside info?!
