this was from today. how does a fan be a fan when ticketmaster has the mononply, buys up tickets for fans (not scalpers, ticketmaster), flips them in minutes into "Platinum" and chrages $20,000?
That picture is shocking and looks like what I would expect Super Bowls tickets to go for. TM needs to be investigated by government consumer protection agencies.

Was that the 2009 show at Piedmont Park? Must have been as I think that was only time he has done outdoors in Atlanta. By a miracle, I saw weather forecast in hotelbeforehad and they said 10% chance rain. Despite that, I had a rain poncho and hat. Many people left when rain started but we stayed.
Yes!! I ended up front row and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.
Got spoiled. I won't pay $300 to see him from the 16th row. And that's what I was pulling up for Winston Salem this morning. So I didn't get any.Yes, it was a great show and weren't' all the tickets $75.00general admission since it was all festival style generalseating? No chairs but brought along beach towel but stood for the entire show.

RE: Pre-Sale
How do we know what face value is anymore? I never price's published when the announcement was made. As it took over twenty minutes to get two Knoxville tickets, I could see prices rising to reflect market demand but they should provide start prices just as the stock market does when new issues come to market.

RE: Pre-Sale
Got two for Knoxville but only after repeatedly trying and failing on desktop and then switching to iPad. Got two seats in first attempt on iPad. Very glad I had it ready and at hand as a backup. Word of advice---have every e-device you have at hand for you never know....

Was reading that the Ticketmaster bots are buying the tickets and reselling them. Not sure if that's true.
Stock markets have what they call transparent pricing when new issues come to market an opening price is set and quoted and then starts moving. This Ticketmaster way you go in totally blind to what you may pay until they are actually being sold. Bots would help drive them higher. TM needs to be investigated

RE: Let It Be / Get Back (the movie)
Great. Especially after dealing with Got Back tour ticket purchase frustration this morning

RE: Got Back - PaulMcCartney.com Pre-Sale
Did the Amex sale at 10:00. Used high speed desktop andmust have tried to buy two dozen tickets in groups of two, starting with floor Was repeatedly told Sorry... after 20 minutes, switched to IPAD and got first two tickets I went for out of dwindling allotment. Ended up in Section 109 and a higher rice. Congress needs to investigate TM. Google search shows Canadian government fined them 4million dollars for shenanigans.
this sale was for the Knoxville show.

RE: Winston-Salem or Charlotte? Paul website discrepancy.
Interesting. He last played Charlotte in2010 and I was willing to wager he would come there again. Perhaps in September?
i wouldn't mind going to Winston-Salem but those outdoor venues risk rain. Knoxville looks like a viable alternative

Hey anyone know if the amex or PM presale is the better of the two as far as getting close seats goes ??
Somebody in a different thread commented that they thought the PM presale was better.
My password emaili fromPM just arrived although I had PAULGOTBACK as it has been shared here. Just curious as to how many are going to wait for supposedly better seats at noon PM presale rather go the AMEX route at ten. A huge part of me can't stand to sit on my hands and wait two hours. Guess I don't trust Ticketmastery to not turn into
Ticket Tyrant!
John, I have always used Ticketmaster and my AMEX card, but was not going for regular seats - got Hot Sound Package in 2013, 2014 and 2017 and got center seats in 3rd/4th row. In 2019 got Gold VIP and had great seats on the side (stage left) in 2nd section back.
Thanks, appreciate the info.

^ B J, I think Paul continues to do Let Me Roll It because it is one of his wife Nancy's favorites.
P.S. I don't know where you've heard him perform it in "recent" years, but I'd hardly call it "horrid" and a "Michael Bolton tribute version!" 🤨 SMH
This Nancy likes it too!
Let's start a new thread.....
"What song should Paul do as a tribute to Michael Bolton?" LOL!

RE: Pre-Sale
Last time I did it was through the Ticketmaster site bu that was tickets in 2019. I was on the Amex site awhile ago and didn't see anything about it.

RE: Ticket prices
From what I can tell, the prices will be determined by demand and therefore fluctuate to reflect market forces, much as websites for hotels and airlines change frequently. It would seem they would have to announce an opening price just as new stock issues have a fixed price when coming into a stock exchange. Last time I purchased on Ticketmaster was in 2018 for a Paul concert in 2019 that I then couldn't attend due to illness. Please someone with recent experience chime in.

Do we know much about the pre-sale "passcode"? When that email will come out, will it apply for pre sale for fan and pres sale vips?
See my post in the thread PRESALE.
For AMEX pre-sale it is INGOLD.
Although an Amex member for many years and also obviously a member here, I have yet to get presale passcode you so kindly passed along. Thank you!

PS "Oh Woman, Oh Why" would have been another great one live back in the door
On second thought, rather than provide a critique of his vocals, I think I am just going to do my best to enjoy the now. In 2019, I was too ill to see him when he player nearby and my son's in-laws were given our tickets. Now, the blessings of good health have returned, covid is receding, so bring on the Rock Show!

Correct, this will be an abomination. The voice won't hold. He isn't Mick Jagger..
Personally I wouldn't worry. With Paul's wealth,I'm sure he'll throw the most advanced techology available at the problem and also have his backing band singing along, taking up the strain. And what with the audience singing along to a lot of over familiar numbers, chances are you won't hear much of Paul's vocals anyway. So relax, just gawp at the living Beatle before you and enjoy.....which is just about what everyone else will be doing.
As long as he doesn't try to go back to Abbey Road and pull out "Oh Darling"; we should be ok!
I had always hoped to have heard Monkberry Moon Delight live but that opportunity has long gone unfortunately.
Yes, Darling washed down with a big cup of Monkberry Moon Delight would have been great thirty years ago but would guarantee a two song set list in 2022.

RE: Set List critique
I missed seeing him do selections from Egypt Station when he toured in 2019. I had tickets but was hanging out at the hospital (actually, it was quite serious). Anyway, I didn't feel that deprived as he didn't do the best songs from that album-Dominos, Confidante (only done live at New York Grand Central Station) and Happy With You. Now, the later one probably wouldn't make best use of his voice outside of the studio so substitute I Don't Know.
Anyway, I hope these represents Egypt as well as Lavatory Lil, Find My Way, Slidin, and Seize the Day off of Macca III.
To see a great concert opener, go on YouTube under Long Tailed Winter Bird and someone has put up footage of him and his band taking the stage with that music going and then it fades into him live. That would work great.
